When I was overseas, in 2005, I wrote Matt Hughes explaining that he was my favorite fighter. I also told him how we both shared a love for wrestling. He sent me an “Army of One” shirt, the one he always wore in the octagon, and an autographed pic. Top notch in my book. Godspeed on your recovery Matt.

I've met him a few times when he was UFC champ. He was always really accommodating with his fans, treating them like he knew them. He's a walking miracle. I hope that thru gods grace he is healed because he's the type of guy that will pass on his blessings to those in need of inspiration.

Hard to see anyone complain. I have been humbled too ,so reflect & remember this when times are bad & people anger you. There’s a plan for Matt& others I’m sure ! Champion of life. 🙏🏻

Do some research people. Matt Hughes is one of the worse human beings on the planet. His ex wife has a restraining order against him because he has tried to kill her a few times in the last year, his brother, nephew and father also have also been attacked by Matt. In Matt's own book he brags about torturing and killing animals, raping a 13 year old girl when he was in college and whole bunch of other really disgusting things.

Yeah. Wow. I didn't know this neither. I hope he gets good enough to have a comfortable rest of his life. He's truly a kind spirit. God bless him. If only the CLAW would decide to care about humans and not be all about greed and control. We can all reap the benefits of stem cells etc to better ourselves.

This hits home with me. I fell thru a skylight in early 96 and had a brain injury too. I got lucky (long story but a family member was able to call a neurosurgeon in the middle of the night at home....#2 on west coast). I was supposed to be permanently, majorly damaged but with the quickness and then skill of the surgeon I came out fine. Three months ICU, three months the next step down and then three months of the same therapy's he had. I have epilepsy but am otherwise normal. Well, as close as you can get with scar tissue still on frontal lobe. Watching this made me cry for him and for what my family was put thru by not knowing if I'd even live. Praying for ya Matt.

@@jamesireland9188 Dana White kept Hughes employed well after his career was over and when the company sold he could no longer justify his salary to the new owners. This is well documented. When Matt Hughes got injured he called Hughes' wife and asked if ever there was anything he could do to just ask and that was confirmed by Matt Hughes himself when the documentary was released in their on stage interview. Dana White may have character flaws but his loyalty to guys like Hughes, Liddell, Griffin etc. has never been in question.
