I’m pretty sure that cast iron base was an old ashtray that sat beside chairs or a sofa. It held a huge glass ashtray. My Papaw had one I still remember! I wish I had it or at least could find one. I’m jealous!

Hi 👋 dear. I would glue it together and then spray paint. That way you don’t have to put pieces of tape on it for it to stick good. Love it ❤

love the bird bath. i have an antique hurricane lamp that has a sunflower pattern on it like that only the glass is a frost white instead of white. you can step it up one and have a hole in the center of the dish and have a solar fountain in it to keep mosquitos away and hummingbirds will bath in the water and fly threw. a deep bowl like that will hold enough water for it. only thing is i would use a see threw plastic dish from the dollar tree for the hole dish. those glass pie dishes are too sweet to drill a hole in

I believe that heavy stand that you have was used to hold a round amber colored ash tray because my sister had one. It sat nicely beside her recliner years ago.

This turned out so lovely!! The only thing I would have done different was to use E6000 on ur 1st glass piece onto ur stand. As the glue gun glue will melt in the heat. ♥️ 🇨🇦
