There’s also the action bible, a graphic novel (comic book) version of the Bible, and “The Story”, which is the Bible written as a novel. I think this is making fun of the idea of trying to put a new spin on the Bible to make it seem more interesting.

When they should ONLY be Dreaming of the PURITY BALLS in their Near Future!) Also: Consult the MALLEUS MALEFICARUM [or, "The HAMMER of Witches"] - it's one of our CURRENT United States Supreme Court Justices' Favorite Books - inspired by the Biblical quote: "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to Live!" - And thousands were tortured for Jesus' Pleasure according to its recommendations - mostly Females, of Course - especially Childless "Cat Ladies" - this hefty Tome will helpfully inform those who will Judge others that a Witch often chooses a "Familiar" - such as a Cat possessed by a Spirit or a Demon...

For those asking, the famous text that likely inspired the SNL sketch (its opening refers to a scene in Exodus) is the _Birds’ Head Haggadah_. It’s a c. 1300 illuminated Ashkenazi Pesach (Passover) Haggadah. The Haggadah is the ritual text that guides the experiential retelling of the holiday’s story: by miracles and Moses, the Israelites are liberated from slavery in ancient Egypt to take their first steps to becoming a free nation. To follow Jewish aniconism, the people depicted are given the heads of… birds! This is taking extreme care to defend the prohibition of worshipping a graven image (an idol) as god. To avoid even ❤the potential for confusion, the author felt there should be no human images in proximity to the prayer book. So the _Bird-Head Haggadah_ got its bird heads and SNL a great sketch!
