Dr. Sam Schroetke of Physical Therapy & Hand Clinic of Hillsboro demonstrates the Bird Dog exercise, which is a great exercise for strengthening the lower back muscles called the multifidi.
Hold the positions for 6-10 seconds and repeat 10-15 times on one side. Then repeat the sequence on the other side.
