What a great plane! And great flying! I used to have a Wanderer years ago, that I launched with a rubberband starter. Really calm and gentle flights, and every once in while you'll catch a thermal that will lift you higher. Don't be afraid to stretch the rubberband more. And you don't need to do a throw-launch - just let go and the Bird of Time will do the rest... Happy gliding!

Not a motor tube heard, she glides well, cracking plane, gliders are cool...I love the noise of the wind rushing over the wing

Hi Ben I have the same plane, you just can't beat them. I use a high start as well. It looked like your plane floundered a bit after releasing it from your hand. I have worked out in really light conditions i need 6kg of pull on the high start and really push it up to speed (throwing it into the launch) on launching. It makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing and good flying.

Just managed to find on of these dynaflite bird of times for sale brand new boxed, so rare now but will be converting to EP as it is a non EP version but it will be just what’s necessary to get it aloft and no more, certainly not a hot liner setup, I’ll match what I need to get her balanced after removal of forward factory ballast lump, great flying

Nice flights, but looks like the high start wasn't as tight as you'd hoped to get it? I ended up powering mine (kit BOT), and love it, but also added large spoilerons to make her roll on demand. I know if the glider community powering a BOT is sometimes considered sacrilege, but I hate walking out a high start, and the tension on the wings makes me super nervous too!
