In this behind the scenes video I am spending the day in my photo blind in the company of my dog, Bjørn, just to experience the calming feel of being surrounded by nature and , if I'm lucky, hoping to see some birds.
I did not expect a whole lot of things to happen, and since my GH5 vlogging camera is broken and sent to repair, I did not expect to make any vlogging either.
This day in the photo blind turned out to be an amazing experience. I was so sad at the thought of not being able to share some of these moments that I decided to try vlogging with the Nikon Z6, which I also used for all the video and most of the photos in this short video.
I hope you will like these moments from the Danish nature.

I always watch your videos as a bit of a wind down on a night, A busy day at work, eat dinner and watch you in a hide. Your videos are always so calming and beautiful. Filled with wonder and just so inspiring. I was a landscape photographer, who as every other landscape photographer, watched Thomas Heaton. That's where I was first introduced to you, and I fell in love with what you do. You have inspired me to expand my lense collection and I am now saving for the tamron 150-600 to get my wildlife photography ball rolling. I do a little with my tamron 70-300 but I definitely need a lense to get closer. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see what you have planned with 2019!

Incredibly inspiring, Morten. The solitude of the hide, the clearing, a mixed flock of Corvids, beautiful Buzzards, a companion who knows when to be silent - all that - and coffee, too! It seems as though producing a photograph is almost an afterthought. Enjoying the moment. THAT'S what is important in life! And you shared it with all of us. Thank you.

Hello Morten...One day I was walking on the hill in Toronto, Canada, and saw beautiful birds chirping and flying here and there and to me it looks as if they are so happy and have no stress of this world. I kept looking at them for more than 1 hour and I guess that was the moment in my life that I decided to start wildlife photography. It was spring of 2015 I guess. Next I start looking for photography gears specially camera and lenses. I started searching over the net and saw one of your KZbin clip in which you were doing bird photography. wow that was wonderful.....That really make my desire more intense to move forward. I saved money and purchased D7100 then D500 with Tamron 150-600mm G1 in 2017 ( as I saw you also use this lens). Since then I am in to this as hobbyist at present and do have plan to do full time photography in future. I still watch your you tubes and enjoy but I don't do photography now for time being because some one stole my gear...…..Now saving money again and once I have that amount I will go for same combination soon. Keep uploading your work that is really inspiration for many like me.....good luck

Hey Morten, I'm a 16 years old Nature photographer. I started to do nature photography this May and since then I am in the Forest everyday for at least 90 Minutes and that has brought me so many great experiences (seeing a group of fallow deer without Camouflage or photographing a Common Kestrel with his prey). Then I stumbled upon your Channel and I think you have changed my mindset about Nature Photography a lot. It's not the pictures that matter the Most, but the experience! Inspired by you and an Norwegian Author, my New Years Resolution was to sleep in the same forest every month at least once to try to reconnect with Nature (Maybe I am going to upload a Video series about that on my channel) So I slept in the forest this January and it was freaking cold but totally worth it. So thank you for inspiring me on my journey through nature. I hope that one day I can do that with my photography too. Thank you, Titus

Hi Titus and thank you for your awesome compliment. I got so happy when I read it. The project you have started sounds absolutely amazing. That is a really really good idea. One of things I love about your video is how calming they are and how dedicated you are to get out and enjoy the moment. Another part is, I have been out numerous times up in an area of the Los Padres National Forest over here in California to a sanctuary area for California Condors. So far have enjoyed every trip but no luck in getting the rare Condor in the wild. When I watch you video, it prompts me to keep trying, so will probably make another trip this upcoming weekend. The CA Condor is so rare, maybe like 500 in world with probably half in wild, but will keep trying while I can. Seeing your video and especially when shooting the birds, prods me and reminds me that I have not accomplished my goal yet and to keep trying. If you are ever in California, give a yell and I could point you or show you some good spots for wildlife and who knows maybe you may even get lucky and get a condor. Thanks-best you and yours

Hi Morten! Watching your videos, especially the latest ones where you show us what you're doing and what's going on around you, without talking, is kind of like a meditation for me. I like watching them surrounded by the silence of my place with only my cat around and a cup of tea :) Also, Bjorn reminds me a lot of a dog we had in our family when I was younger, he was named Igloo. And also thank you for sharing your time in the nature and your beautiful images. I haven't traveled a lot during the last couple of years so your videos always make my day. I travel through your videos, until my next trip. Can't wait to see the next video :) Be safe out there. Cheers!

Sometimes when I am sitting in nature with camera, fishing rod or nothing, the feeling of well being I get, and have always got for almost 60 years is almost overwhelming. I know this video is a year old, but I am hoping you will see this. You called these birds buzzards and where I am they are hawks. I was so confused by this. So I googled if buzzards and hawks are the same. I learned something new. Here is what I found out. In North America, a vulture is a vulture, a buzzard is a vulture, and a hawk is a hawk. In the rest of the world, a vulture is a vulture, a buzzard is a hawk, and a hawk is sometimes a buzzard, though there are still other birds with the name hawk that would not be called buzzards. LOL how is that for learning something new? Phew. Keep up the awesome work. I got some "hawk photos, and "hares (rabbits here) and all kinds of birds all from my backyard. I'm still very much a rookie. Thank you for work.

Greetings from north east Germany at the Polish border. I enjoy your films very much, but sadly I think your dog takes better photo's than I do. Haha. Keep up the good work.
