TheGrand Budapest was pretty close tho'. Even if Boyhood had an amazing screenplay, the fact that it was written in 12 years, demerits it to me.

While Birdman was an incredible movie, it's strengths were the direction, performances and the cinematography. The Best Screenplay Oscar should've gone to Wes Anderson for The Grand Budapest Hotel in my opinion, the dialogues in that film were freaking hilarious (idk maybe I'm biased because I can't believe Wes has no Oscars until now, I hope he wins something for The French Dispatch)
