Birds Sweet Reaction When Owner Announced She's Going Shopping ❤️

I love when Cosmo tells me to zoom there and zoom back and adds her grocery list when I'm leaving the house 😂 I especially love her adding her whispered "I Love You" ❤️
There are times when I get home she will blow me a kiss and tell me "I missed you, I missed you" and it's usually followed by a whispered, "I Love You" ❤️ melts my heart every time ❤️

@@mommasmom857 We still don't know just how much they truly understand, and how much they just know what is an appropriate thing to say at certain times. Example: Mine will see me putting on a coat, hat, or some other article of clothing which he knows I only wear when going outside, and will then say goodbye, so long, or see ya later, and he knows I'm leaving, which is reinforced by ME saying one of those phrases. If I do not say any of them, he will assume that I'm not leaving and will call out to me to see where I am once I'm out of his vision. It's complicated, but they truly are smarter than most give them credit for. I don't remember how old Cosmo is; mine is 34. Cosmo, Gizmo, and Apollo are the current crop of all star African Gray parrots on youtube. Cheers to them all!

The head tilts are really interesting. I have a German Shepherd and learned that head tilts happen when she is trying to process a more complex idea I’ve communicated, there’s some neuroscience that explains why the tilt, and it seems like Cosmo does it for the same reason. What a wonderful relationship you have with him! Ive never had a bird but I love watching them, especially corvids- blue jays, and we have a crow nearby who can do an impressive imitation of a construction vehicle backing up, he has me looking around for the truck when he beep beep beeps.

As a child development specialist, the fact she said "you be good girls," means she understands gender and how to use plural nouns. Specifically that whoever was with is also a girl and that there were two of you. I think she might be the smartest bird on KZbin! I think if we assessed her she would have very high social skills as well!
