Jamie, watching you through these last several years as a bird trainer, I don't believe you are too direct, you are clear and kind, and that is perfect. Love how Jinx turns into a baby when he is with you, fluffy head and body, taking his foot and gently rubbing his head wanting you to see how adorable he is, too cute! Yeah, I was hoping you would adopt Lefty too, but you found him a good home, and that was the goal. Always wondered what Capri's first name was, but you only mentioned how she preferred her middle name, Sydney is adorable! Love when you and Dave answer questions, hope you continue. Thanks for letting us get to know you better, and this vlog, see you soon!

This parrot has the cutest little laugh; my Senegal has the world's most evil cackle. He doesn't do it on command, but he will do it if he sees or hears something that I usually find funny (like if I'm looking at funny pictures online, he must recognize certain meme formats because he'll laugh at those; or he knows my friend Mike often makes me laugh so he'll laugh when he hears Mike's voice). And it sounds like he's plotting to take over the world.

I have a blue n gold, I have had her for over 25 years. She kept getting out of her cage and destroying things. We gave her, her own room which has a window and a viewing window in our family room. I’m 66 and can’t seem to train her again. When I take her out of her room, she screams and calls Mamma. It’s constant. She only responds to me! My husband feeds her and plays with her. I bring her out of her room at least 2 to 4 times a day. The screaming makes it unbearable. Any suggestions? No one wants o interact with her, and always say get rid of her! This upsets me so much. I just want to enjoy her again. Thank you. Bobbie Macguee

Another fun video! I love how jinx is trying to keep himself distracted for a while lol. I also didn’t know that Capri‘s first name is Sydney, what an adorable combination of names. And I too wish you could have adopted Lefty, I really thought you would because of how he got along with Capri and he seemed to do great on road trips with you. But, at the same time totally understood why you didn’t! He got a nice home because of you so that’s the most important part ❤️

Even before I got them I knew you should only get one so it’s easier to tame, but the only pet store that took good care of the budgies only sold them in pairs. Now he is plucking blood feathers so I noticed if I give him seeds he stops plucking he is on his third day of seeds and pellets and has left his blood feathers alone and no plucking, I know this isn’t the right diet but when I change it he goes back to plucking. It would be awesome for them to have another kid but Capri has an awesome life and is super loved and if that’s what they want then that’s it :)

@@marjake3147 Yes, but then you have to think of the other child. If the parents don't feel ready and prepared for another child and aren't even into the idea, it wouldn't be fair for the other child to just bring it into the world because the child they're already raising and love having all 100% of their focus on wanted a sibling and for no other reason, would it?

I really hope my cockatiel is trainable. He is a rescue that was not tame when we got him, and I've had him for eight years, (no clue how old he is for sure, but they had him for a few years at least. His name was Gertrude then, and with another male). He bonded to my female cockatiel, so my horrible attempts at training him didn't take. If we took her out of the cage (she was tame, specially with the handfeeding and oral medications I had to give her when she was brought in to my vet clinic), he would scream until she was back in the cage. She passed away six months ago. She was also a rescue that we had for 18 years. So now Kevin is alone in his cage. He will not come out of the cage if we leave the door open, and is terrified of us. I've been working on watching your video's, I bought the kit to convert him off a seed diet, toys, clicker, etc. My boyfriend doesn't think I can train him. I told him challenge accepted. I'm working on collecting the supplies I will need for this venture. For now I'm just working on changing his diet, and using the clicker when he doesn't run due to my distance from the cage. I have to gain his trust so that I can even give him a treat.
