I realize that,Skinny Love was the first single released from Bon Iver's 2007 debut album For Emma, Forever Ago. Justin Vernon wrote and recorded the album in his father's isolated log cabin in north Wisconsin, where he had retreated to following the break up of a relationship and his former band, DeYarmond Edison, plus some nasty mononucleosis. The song was released as a single in the United Kingdom on 28 April 2008. Skinny Love was covered by British artist, Birdy, in January 2011.

I don't know how to explain it very well but yeah, it's understandable for many singers that they sing a song in different ways/creatively. That's why it sounds different from another performance. There probably another factors too. But not here. You might thinking she sounds like trying harder but not really. Definitely not. It's a natural spontaneous skill. And it's still sounds beautiful. It's beautiful.. :)
