Django took the Jazz guitar farther. Thanks to him we have amazing Jazz guitarists like Bireli. Who keeps the True essence of gypsy Jazz alive.

thing that everybody does here in the commentary that musicians dont do(most of the time lol)is criticise and compare.they just jam and have a good time.if you were to see theyre comments here criticizing other players theyd be out of buisness because in the music world its all related and relavent and you might do a show with somebody then they see you attacked them online theyll think really low of u.U mght say stuff but if U had a chnce to play with any of thse guys youd be exited

The song is called minor blues or blues en mineur. Composed by Django Reinhardt
@viehmeyerjazz11 жыл бұрын
djangos main influences were benny goodman.thats how he discovered jazz and swing.he loved Debussy and bach and had recorded some of there pieces and they can be hesrd throughout his recordings.duke ellington was a major influence towards the end.now not to say that les paul was an influence on django because django really influenced les.but les pretty much intro django to electric guitar and were good friends.also influences of the gypsy music.

@PepitoSmooth Yes! Two Ears. But i did a mistake. It was not good to use the word "just". They are both on a very very high level. A level which you and i will never reach. ;o) Mary Christmas.

le micro aigu de cette Gibson L5 fait merveille (configuration rare en jazz.) Les yeux fermés on croirait le son de Django (avec un peu d'imagination, mais quand même).
@vueobjective10 жыл бұрын
C'est exactement ça, les premières deux minutes trente, il est très proche du son de Django lorsqu'il jouait ce morceau en électrique.

lol funny thing thing is eddie land first of all wasn't an influence and Charlie said django was his nifliuence.after he heard REINHARDTS rendition of st Louis blues then he decided to do one.eddie was before djangos period but not seen.influences of django were admitably benny goodman mostly,debussy,bach,duke ellington and the music from the gypsies of the period.most gypsy music since never taped has been lost through the ages.tcha limburger plays many of those songs.django was influence

Django wasn't entirely original. Let's remember that Django also had a lot of guitar influences when he started playing jazz: Eddie Lang, George Barnes, Charlie Christian...so yeah...everyone, even Django, has influences.

that soprano sax sounds cheesy in my estimation he shoulda went balls out dolphy style with the bass clarinet. yeah. although no critique to his playing he definitely kills. alright well maybe at times hes a little kenny g'd out or wait maybe it is just the sax. hmm.. Birelis nice, although i maybe slightly more prone to seizures now from all the dizzying chromaticganza. not sure if thats good or bad. maybe ease off it just a bit but then again he is a gypsy. nevertheless was a pleasure. bravo!
