TBF even without tevesh, Kitten is super strong. I've been playing it since release and I am the only one in my community to do so. I play it in a Yarok deck (because, well, you know); but also in Reality Chip and I even slot it in a Queza lich because there's just so much options.

@@giorgioleoni3471 no. Dockside is but an example of how to abuse kitten. You can go absolutely bonkers with kitten and spellseeker, or tinket mage to get all moxens and sol ring, you can kick off from any "once a turn" effect, like those pw abilities. In my yarok deck i have stupid lines with tamyo/muldrotha/e-witness and lotus petal, for instance.

I use Kitten in my Evelyn deck. It's juste so broken. It's Infinite with Mana Echoes. Flickering Evelyn, Mana Echoes add mana, Evelyn exile cards, cast a 1 or 0 spell, repeat.

Birgi nearly getting there in G2 was nice, but those T1 explosive hands just draw *so* much attention from the table even if you don't have the win in hand. It's hard playing something that wants to setup and go off in the same turn like that without much protection.

Even outside of cEDH lines; just a trinket mage becomes stupidly strong with kitten (you get all fast mana artefact from your deck), and spellseeker or micromancer become incredibly broken... more.

Why Pyroblast the Swan Song? Just blast the Kitten. Same with Snuff Out on Dockside in game two, it should have been in response to the Kitten cast so there was no Dockside loops at all.

Can someone explain how, around 5:00 when Kitten was targeted, Kitten's flicker effect removed it from the stack? I thought the flicker would resolve before the rest of the stack, keeping it as a valid target.

When the kitten is flickered, it becomes a new object on the battlefield, so it's no longer targeted by the same spell.

Getting to do an actively diverse pod was really cool! Tev/Kraum is pretty much your turbo-breach nauseam shell with flex cards dedicated for interacting well with kitten and mostly being removal or meta calls.

No, 704.5d (MTG Comp Rules) - "If a token is in a zone other than the battlefield, it ceases to exist." So you can't flicker tokens. They can phase out since phasing doesn't cause the token to change zones.
