Jetmir players double-tapping the board leader instead of killing the whole table at once challenge: impossible
@Theronxz2 жыл бұрын
I had a lethal swing on him, I just didn't realize that veyran or however you spell his name could be pumped through spell casts this was able to block. Still a misplay cause I could have just swung another creature at him. Punts happen, especially when this is the third game of the night.
@tariqmaketab5952 жыл бұрын

Nick just did not want to kill the krark player for a reason I'm not understanding. Every turn the Krark deck showed ways to win the game. The moment you see that the Krark deck has the win every turn, even if you play against a Grixis deck, you just swing at the player that can win each turn. The same Krark played also had Rhystic Study, which mean he could find more and more way to win the game. You will most likely need the grixis player to help you not lose the game. The Tymna Kodama understood that and lost his wincons along the way. I would probably play this wrong The game was still interesting and fun and I loved it, but damn.
@Theronxz2 жыл бұрын
I swung lethal at the krark player to be clear. However I failed to realize what veyran did. So he was able to actually block with it and survive. So yes I very much wanted him dead. Just misplayed.
@munsulight7212 жыл бұрын
@@Theronxz Oh I know you swinged at them and would probably have misplayed the same because Veyran is not something you see a lot (except in casual). I think I would have just swung more at them the other turns too. Maybe it is also hindsight after the game that makes me say that. I know Ad Naus deck are always a problem I'm sorry if this was harsh. Magic is fucking hard
@Theronxz2 жыл бұрын
Maybe I could have swung differently earlier in the game, I'd have to rewatch it. I tend to try and effect naus players earlier in the game to make them worse off. This was the third game of the night which tends to have the most misplays from everybody. It ultimately was just the huge misplay of not guaranteeing lethal on Noah. Which I am still super hard on myself for. I also misplayed in tapping my mana otherwise they could of had haste. What wasn't harped on though was Noah bouncing my Jetmir so I couldn't activate the formidable trigger on Shaman. That would have been a fun way to win. No need to apologize either, I do deserve criticism for what was a game losing misplay.

Good game and great video. As someone who largely only gets to watch cEDH and not play, I was wondering if Krark/Thrasiosis similar to Krark/Sakashima with additional wincons due to the addition of Green (I guess the closest analogy my inexperienced cEDH knowledge can draw is like Temur Pirates vs Grixis Pirates)? It's really amazing to see how strong these decks are, sadly it's often the same cards like rhystic, mana vault, dual lands etc. that give the players their edge for their engines to run and win, and that's why its becoming less interessting for me to play unrestricted commander. Because it reduces siversity and you pay to perform. Homebrew rules of no infinate combos, infect and tutors/search abilities except for standard lands, as well as taking all 1v1 commander restrictions/bannlist opens the field to so many new possibilities of decktyps, synergies and new strategies.
@jamesdemellow10162 жыл бұрын
With those restrictions you are basically just playing regular edh then, not cedh
@thelastrebel132 жыл бұрын
I think what he's saying is games are more interesting with better banlists because they mostly promote more diversity in the deck building part whereas here you see everyone running the same 20 to 40 cards because they are so good you cannot afford not to run them
