These were given such grand names... the best thrash rom a 50 I remember tearing up the tracks in New Street while out spotting was one named Courageous 🤪

It's a long drive for me in Northumberland but I occasionally pop over to the ELR to ride 50015 where they still thrash him , amazing sound and smell.

50s were such ugly angular brutes, so that hideous, ridiculous NSE livery, really suited them! Great to hear the expert 1980s BNS train announcers, including myself!
