I feel distressed and alarmed by his interactions just watching it. There's no style or purpose to the negative interactions. The name calling and the lack of maturity is major. He Claims to be auditing, and partaking in a campaign for dads who are estranged from their kids. This is a fallacious premise, as his videos mostly involve approaching Officers and being rude from the outset to aggravate a reaction from them, in order to make him look like a victim. The premise behind his videos, is presupposed on his own bitterness towards the Police, combined with the fact that he is not allowed to have access with his kids. He's not an auditor, as auditors test the law by [i] testing whether Officers are familiar with laws on filming in public, and [ii] testing whether they will upload those laws. Wrong on both counts. 1. BTP is technically funded by the Department for Transport but the money comes from the train operating companies. 2. If the vehicle is parked with its engine off and handbrake on you can use your phone.

The BTP (Biscuits & Tea Police) aren't funded directly by tax. Funded by the DfT via a levy on train tickets. The train operators fund them. Argument is the BTP are a private police service, not actually police. More a glorified security service to the railways. BTP constables only have jurisdiction in, on or within the facility of the railways unless requested or authorised by a constable of the local home office police service. They all know this too, but attempt to throw the power behind the uniform and act as "POLICE"... No different to "PORT, "TUNNEL", "PARK" or "MARKET" police forces sworn in under the relevant law/bye-laws.

So the legislation behind policing that defines a constable and their powers, the BTP police officers share the constable keyword, they are warranted constables and are legally entitled to act in the professional capacity of a constable, which includes arrest, search and seizure etc. Yes they are funded via the rail but are overseen by HM dept for transport, and so are under UK government jurisdiction. You'll notice at many football games BTP is the main force that deals with the public order side as they are requisitioned by the government to act. I'm practise, if a BTP officer sees a crime in progress and there is no home officer officer around, they must act as the constable, if there is a home office officer the they must assist said officer

BTP can act as Constables outside of railway jurisdiction in the following circumstances:- _"A BTP constable has the same powers and privileges of a constable of a territorial police force:"_ _" in relation to people whom they suspect on reasonable grounds of having committed, being in the course of committing or being about to commit an offence, or they believe on reasonable grounds that they need those powers and privileges in order to save life or to prevent or minimise personal injury or damage to property."_ _"A BTP constable may only use such powers if he believes on reasonable grounds that if he cannot do so until he secures the attendance of or a request from a local constable (as above), the purpose for which he believes it ought to be exercised will be frustrated or seriously prejudiced."_ Effectively they have full police powers when a regular constable isn't immediately in place to take over, you'd be hard pressed to describe a situation when an arrest was necessary that the above wouldn't apply. They got expanded jurisdiction post 9/11, have their own Armed Response, Violent crime task force, county lines TF, etc. Completely different force from 25 years ago.
