Seen a few comments confused especially what it has to do with Alex. So Sam was Alex's adopted sister at one point. Hannah & Sam are biological sisters, they were adopted into a family who also adopted Alex. Adopted siblings class each other as brothers & sisters. They lived together for a while. They never expected to be hurt by the family who adopted them before Crystal & Alex adopted Hannah & Alex. When you are adopted you assuming that you will be adopted together forever. Adoption is usually permanent unless it doesnt work out for whatever reason. But in this case it was dangerous situation for Sam, Alex & Hannah. Sam protected Hannah & Alex for a long enough time for them to have a bond & connection with each other. Hannah & Alex got re adopted but Sam wanted to find herself as she spent a lot of time technically being a mother to Hannah & Alex. No child should ever need to be a mother role to their siblings. So even though Sam was never adopted with Hannah & Alex by Crystal & Aaron, Alex & Sam were adopted siblings before they were taken out. They went through a lot together while growing up. Alex were in the same environment, so he understand what went on, they went through a lot together during their old adoption. He also probably wanted to support Hannah aswell considering that is his sister & she is seeing her biological sister she hasnt seen for years. Alex also wanted to say thank you for what Sam did for him aswell. She saved both Hannah AND Alex. Every adoption is different. No one will ever understand what they went through except Sam, Hannah & Alex. Just because Alex isn't blood related to Sam doesnt mean they don't care for each other after being pulled out from their adopted family home. Its like Crystal & Aaron never adopted Jamie but they class her as a daughter. Crystal & Aaron only knew about Jamie through their old foster daughter Melinda (Jamies biological sister) who they class as their daughter too. They class both Melinda & Jamie as their daughters even before Jamie gave birth to Aurora. Plus I'm sure Hannah & Sam will have their alone time. This is only for those who are confused about who is related to who biologically. Then the rest is for those who were rude in the comments section not understanding why Alex is there. The videos are on the channel explaining Alexs & Hannahs adoption story & their past. Remember: 'Family isn't whose blood you carry. Its who you love and who loves you back'. I can tell this was really hard for Hannah. The way she sat quietly and the way she hug Sam showed real emotion. I also saw how much of a rock Alex is to Hannah. This was a emotional thing for him too but he didn’t show cause he needed to be strong for her. I really hope Sam and them establish a good relationship cause they still need each other so much. Sam looks like an awesome person and I can tell she misses them so much and she’s trying to be strong. The thing is adoptive kids have a lot of baggage and this story was heartbroken 💔

Alex probably would have been bawling during this if he didn't feel that Hannah needed to be the emotional one, so he needed to be the rock. They are each other's touchstones so when one is weak the other stands strong, thus they have mutually assured support. I have watched this happen in many relationships. Their bond is strong enough that I was floored when I heard that they weren't biological siblings, but as they were raised together from adolescence it makes sense for their bond to be strong. By the way, if you want proof that Alex was putting on a strong front, look at his face at 9:30, then at 9:35. That is a face of raw emotion barely being contained, then he puts on his tough guy mask again as he pulls away from the hug. Again, he felt everything Hannah was feeling, he just slapped some humor and suave guy mask to allow Hannah to just feel it fully in the moment. He is a good brother.

This makes 100% sense!! I was raised by aunt and Uncle and my cousin is 15 days older than me, so we’ve always been close! And we definitely have the “be strong so they can be weak” mindset/moments and I never really noticed or thought of it until reading your comment 💕✨ especially me being the emotional one I’ve found times where I’ve been “strong” so my cousin could be weak/emotional 🤧✨

Not a question but an idea, if all of you are okay with it, I think Sam, Hannah, and Alex should go out and do something together, no parents or other siblings, no cameras unless they want it. Something fun and light hearted like an arcade, a shopping trip, skiing/snowboarding, or a movie so they can catch up in a more light hearted, less heavy way before they dive back into asking questions and meeting birth family if that is part of their plans going forward.

I also want to mention that I think while it’s a wonderful feeling to reconnect with birth family, I can also see how it would be extremely difficult as well because the last time they saw these relatives was during the worst time of their life, so it probably brings up a lot of traumatic memories. It seems like it would be an overwhelming experience so I think it’s totally normal for them to be so quiet. It’s a whole lot to process at once.

Sometimes a hug says so much more than words. Hannahs in such a great place but her inner pain breaks my heart. I fear she, especially now, "masks" her pain with a super happy exterior including her new love of bright colorful makeup. To Hannah, you are beautiful beyond words, inside and out. Every adoptive parent should watch this video. Many younger families are very naiive about the fact that children come from somewhere and these connections are deep in their souls regardless of age, but it definately deepens especially with history. @Tucker,Fearn and Bentley’s Angel Forever as someone who was adopted when I was a baby and now know my biological family, I'd say you are wrong in most cases. Never is something as cut and dry as your statement is. There are times where a parent can not take care of a child, mentally, physically, ect and the best thing for the child is to be in a better situation. Sure, there are some cases where a parent gets robbed of a child for a dumb reason. But for the most part, children are taken away for serious violations and are in dangerous situations. I don't know why you have such anger in your heart towards adoption, but I pray you can some day get over that. Because as someone who was adopted, it changed my life for the better. My biological mother even says as much. She wasn't equipped to handle having a child at 15 and also homeless. Don't judge everyone based on your experience, because every one is different.

I'm watching this in 2023 about 2 years after I started watching you guys. Aww little Hannah I just wanted to hug her. I love how Alex is so happy and knows he is home forever. Hannah still to this day has some of the nervous tics I watched in this video but she is also now so secure in your family and knows she is your daughter forever. Is it hard for Hannah to know that she has other siblings and that her mom has been asking about her? I can’t imagine going through all that, especially at just 12. My dad was adopted as a baby, so my whole life I never actually knew who my biological cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents were. I still don’t, but my dad has found and contacted them recently (he is 52) and he has 2 or 3 brothers, and his parents are still together! They had given him up because they were young and weren’t ready. I love watching your videos and Crazy Middles! You guys always move my heart.

Beautiful music to this video. Hannah seemed overwhelmed and I am sure she was. It is so hard to be separated from siblings. I am proud of Alex for thanking her. You can just tell sweet Hannah needs for more time to process. Thankfully her sister was okay with exchanging contact information for when ever Hanna is ready to talk. You can see how safe she feels when shes with her big sister and the as when shes with her forever family, it's so special! I have 7 sisters and 3 brothers, 4 half (but I love them all equally) and I couldnt imagine even living without one of them because they all play a special role in my life especially me being, the second youngest, we didnt all grow up together though, when my brother passed away 10 years ago at the age of 20 was when the 3 eldest siblings came into our lives. So happy to see you and your "wombmates" siblings, come together ♡

I keep rewatching this video and each time I’m crying my eyes out, it’s incredible to see how far both Hannah and Alex have come with Sam acting as their parent throughout such hard times all kids shouldn’t have to go through, to all the family I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoy the amazing new year ahead. You are amazing and deserve the world. Crystal you are an incredible mum and you don’t hold back to letting your kids have contact with their relatives and family. Hannah, that sweet baby. You can see she remembers so clearly and it breaks my heart. What this family did to adopt them is beautiful and I mean to take nothing from that, but the connection she has to Sam didn’t need words. Sam is obviously a huge comfort for her even now. It’s someone that shared her experiences and looks like her and can truly understand her. I hope that they are able to visit again and frequently. I applaud these parents for allowing this because I know that has to be difficult, but their unselfishness is amazing.
