Wow, I can’t believe how much attention Fern is giving George 😂. I have 5 kids and they love their baby sister, but nobody has been nearly that attentive. My 2-yr-old just started playing with her now that she’s 6 months old and crawling. Fern is adorable!

Fern is like my mom when my son, their first grandchild, was born (on Dec 19 as well!). I was young and was still living with them at that time. She’d hold him constantly lol. Eventually she learned to chill, I wonder if Fern will be like that too lol. A baby right before Christmas is the best gift a momma can get. Congrats to you and your family!

I love watching Fern’s pure delight and love over her baby brother - And the fact that the older kids saw her excitement and were so excited FOR HER! No one argued about her holding him first, they all just take such enjoyment out of everyone being happy. So heartwarming to see. Very impressive that Fern seems to understand that baby was in your belly and is now no longer in there but out in the world. What a strong grasp of reality she has. Love the name. I named my daughter Trinity Augustine but pronounced hers August-teen. Her father is Irish and St. Augustine taught about the the Holy Trinity in Ireland.

I had 5 brothers growing up. I loved coming from a large family. My mom and dad took great care of us as we all played sports and other activities that they were always driving us to and from. I always had playmates, and my parents were careful to not make the older kids responsible for parenting the younger kids because they were too busy. We all had wonderful full lives. Congratulations on your new son.
