The situation in Portugal has changed recently due to increased pressure on the healthcare system. New rules were implemented after several incidents where pregnant women and newborns tragically passed away due to the strain on emergency services.

@@carlafaria3684 Thank you so much for watching. Yes a lot has changed since the new president came into power. I'm currently on vacation in Portugal and all of that has been stopped. You must have lived in Portugal for 5 years to get automatic citizenship. If not you need a legal stay in Portugal to apply for citizenship of the child immediately he or she is born.

Sorry but information about Argentina is wrong. Yes, you can go and apply for residency, however the country is going through a strong economic recession, and they are cutting back on expenses. Medical infrastructure is in a degraded state (after many years of corruption) and there is push for a new law to start charging foreign for all medical and education expenses. So, I would not put it as one of the best at all.
@TheGeorgeFamily.
@TheGeorgeFamily. 8 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. That is your own opinion and it is good you stated out your points but saying my information is wrong is an overstatement. Medical infrastructure has nothing to do with public hospital being free of charge and actually getting the right medication that you will pay 10 times more in another country for the same thing. I am talking about birth tourism countries , so yes it falls amoug one of the best. There is corruption in all countries, so that is not a big deal.

Do you have to reside in Brazil to apply for the passport or you can leave and come back then apply!
@TheGeorgeFamily.
@TheGeorgeFamily. Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Yes. To apply for your passport, you need to reside in Brazil for 1 year and you start counting from the date of issue of your permanent residence. If you have your PR but you left the country within this one year, you are not supposed to stay out for more than 90 days. If you have stayed out for more than 90 days, you will need to come in and live in Brazil for at least 6 months before you apply. In addition to this you need to proof that you are proficient in portuguese by submitting a B1 Level certificate of an exam (Celpe-Bras) or an accredited MOC education course .

Argentina is best. It actually only takes one year to get citizenship and you can apply even 6 months before the child is born. Furthermore unlike Brazil there is no language test. Boom. Less than a year after arriving you can have full citizenship for child and parents.
@TheGeorgeFamily.
@TheGeorgeFamily. 9 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. This is false information about Argentina. You can only get citizenship for Argentina only after 2 years on your permanent residency. So if you apply 6 months before the child is born, what then will be your reason of applying for residency or citizenship?
@GodDieux
@GodDieux 9 ай бұрын
@@TheGeorgeFamily. Yes, I am in Argentina right now. Yes, you can arrive and start to apply right away prior to the birth as long as you can show a doctors ultrasound and proof indicating that she is pregnant. Furthermore, although the law states that you cannot get citizenship until the child is born, there is nothing restricting applying and assembling all the paperwork, and even submitting it prior to the birth thus speeding up the process immensely. Furthermore, you are mistaken, because for marriage and birth, it only takes one year, and in that year, you are only required to be in the country seven months, so essentially as soon as you have fulfilled the requirement of seven months you could qualify right away, but in practice the average is one year right now. Without child or marriage it takes 30 months in practice and you are required to be physically in the country seven months of each year until you qualify to apply after two years. Residency and Citizenship are entirely different processes in this country. Citizenship is a declaration of not being a slave in Argentina and a right. So it is fairly easy to qualify. Another misunderstanding folks have is that you cannot give up citizenship ever. That is also not true. As a naturalized citizen you can renounce through a process in the courts. Only people born in Argentina cannot give it up. Certainly Brazil is a great passport but Argentina is equally good if not better. Brazil had a language requirement. Argentina does not. In practice Brazil takes more than two years. Argentina less. Brazil tried to force your child to get vaccinated, Argentina does not. Argentina has more countries it can access visa free and is also highly regarded, although visa for USA is required but all Europe is open to Argentina. Also Brazil is more expensive. Amazing midwives cost 1000$ for birthing in Argentina at home and birthing in public hospitals is free. Cost of living is less in Argentina as well. Actually I’m surprised how many many websites have misinformation about birthing in Argentina as I was just skimming some of the google searches. But I’m here right now in Argentina and this is my experience as well as my lawyers experience and that of many others. *** and by the way. you are wrong. permanent residency is not required for citizenship. you can apply for and get citizenship even with no valid visa. PR is an entirely different process and does not lead to citizenship. Two years living in the country (7 months each year) is required to qualify for citizenship without having baby or getting married) Seriously… these are the facts. In this sense I chose Argentina as the best. Brazil and Mexico are second best. And Canada is only good for the child and because I’m Canadian already it was irrelevant.
@TheGeorgeFamily.

@@GodDieux All this explanation you have given here does not prove any point that you get a PR before arriving Argentina for birth as your first explanation gives. You choosing Argentina as the best is a good one. Off course even in Brazil you need to prepare your documents and apply before giving birth to your child which you get the PR immediately after you birth your child because you need the birth certificate. Normally for one to naturalise in Brazil, it takes only 1 year but in Argentina it is 2 years. My video is about birth tourism so in both cases it is a conversion from tourist visa to residency (Permanent in this case). I know in Argentina people can naturalise even on temporal residency which is a plus one for Argentina. About language for both countries you need to be proficient in the language as that is a requirement for all countries and in Brazil you need to prove it using a certificate. If in Argentina you don't need to prove it then that is a plus too. I have a friend who jhust became an Argentinian and he said he didn't have to proof language proficiency. For the total time frame from residency to citizenship, Brazil still beats Argentina. When you apply , in Brazil it takes 7 months to one year meanwhile Agentina takes 7 months. So if you need to do the mathematics in Agentina will be 2years plus 7 months meanwhile in Brazil it is 1 year plus 7 months to maximum 1 year. Brazil is expensive as well as Argentina based on the individuals and your budget. The umemployment rate in Argentina is higher 8% than Brazil is 7%. Vaccination of a child is notforced in Brazil except you want your child to go to school and he/she is under 5 years old which is a good thing. Although my son and I are very allergic to vaccines. * I did not lie about the PR thing because I am talking about birth tourism and the only residency you can get is permanent residency through this route. It has always been a plan for me to apply for Argentinian PR after my Citizenship. Question: Do you have to live in Argentina for those 2 years or you can go out and return (how long in those 2 years must you be Argentina to apply)?
@GodDieux
@GodDieux 9 ай бұрын
@@TheGeorgeFamily. like I said, it only takes one year in Argentina, from starting application, and you can apply immediately once pregnant. Yes you can leave and come back again as long as you spend seven months per year in country. PR and residency is irrelevant for citizenship process. Can literally come on tourist visa upon entry. In Brazil you can start to apply for citizenship after one year, in Argentina you can start to apply for citizenship as soon as you have proof of being pregnant and therefore speed the process. Good idea for you to come here after. Yes if your child is Brazilian it will take two years to qualify to immigrate, and then another six months or so to process. Both options are great. How did you find learning Portuguese? Where are you from originally? These are all excellent options.
@TheGeorgeFamily.

@@GodDieux Residency is important and is the key requirement for naturalisation in all countries. It is only for Argentina that i just found out that is the only country doing that (this was implimented after 2019) and this holds only in case of marriage and child birth (special exception). I just found out that from the Argentinian government website that citizenship takes 2 years on residency except having an Arg. child or married to an Arg. meaning it can be done anytime. Therefore it will take a year from birth of child unlike 1.5 to 2 years in Brazil. Get you now. Also public hospitals in Argentina is also free, Having a Brazilian child has nothing to do with residency in Argentina. For both countries each one can visit the other using only the PR card for 90 days maximum at a time because both of them are mercosur countries. It is only when you are a Brazilian that you have the right to live, work and study definitely in Argentina and vice versa. With my Brazilian citizenship, I have the right to apply for PR in Argentina and it is only after 2 years that I can apply for Argentina citizenship. Thank you for this info. I will do a video talking about birth and citizenship in Argentina in the future. We are from Cameroon but our sons were born here. So when presenting your documents in court, don't you have to communicate in spanish?

i wish you can do a video on GCUB past winners, and what happened after they where shortlisted....i hear, we can do the 6 months lang course inside brazil rather than outside and take the exams inside brazil b4 we commence our course, how true is that?
@TheGeorgeFamily.
@TheGeorgeFamily. Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching! I think the results of those who got the GCUB scholarship is done individually through their private emails. The scholarship goes to about 1100 students. That is a lot and I can read out people's names without their consent. You can only start studying after you do your registration in Brazil. But some institutions start studying online while waiting on your student visa application. You only do exams before you are selected for this scholarship. After that you just carry on with your regular degree program alongside with your language course as one of the courses. I think the length of the course depends on the individual scholarship that you get and also with the univeristy. On a regular, althought public universities are free of tuition, the language course are not free. But when you get this scholarship, then the lang course becomes free but I am not certain how long the course should take.

@@Gabriel-ThembaOkoye-C Thank you for the compliment. For sure you will be selected. After the selection, you will go ahead and apply for your student visa.
