Belated birthday greetings from Chan,Mareshia. So glad that you both had a great day enjoying the wide array of food and goodies at Osukannon. I remembered this place since my 1975 first trip to Japan. Inside the temple is a huge goddess of mercy and many go to pray here. I did the same too in 1975. The shopping arcade will certainly be a treat for anyone who walks through and has the desire to eat,drink,shop and relax .Thank you for sharing. Da Nang is a huge port city. What experience do you have in shipping? It is a long ways up the coast. The ESL schools are down south in HMC. Dalat is a beautiful mountain village, a great place to visit, but if you plan to live there.....? You could probably get a teaching job, but the pay would be nothing. Cheers from Vancouver BC

Da nang is ah ,, souless. There are some schools built in colonial times. That would be an interesting tour, although they were being bladed when I was there. They are on oceanfront. Same with China beach, which is basically a shanty town of fishermen. The U.S. air bases from the war are still there, but you can't walk around. Not much to see anyway , just a few quonsets. An hoi is to the south. It is a perfectly preserved medieval town. It would be awesome if you could fly over for a couple weeks, but that's not on. You guys are the Sonny and Cher of Japan!
