@@crawlingboy They are not identical twins, but fraternal twins. This happens when the mother releases two eggs at once, and both gets fertilized at the same time. Identical twins are one fertilized egg, splitting into two separate zygotes, but each one still has the exact same DNA. You can tell using an ultrasound, whether the twins are fraternal or identical, because fraternal twins have two different ambiotic sacs and do not share a placenta, while identical twins are in the same sac and have one placenta shared between them.
