Birthright CITIZENSHIP (Amendment 14) was written in late 1800s for the children of FREED SLAVES. It doesn't apply to illegals. BUT, democraps have gotten away with bastardizing the interpretation for years. It was never legally challenged. Sir unless you sweeten the deal for Indian citizens working in tne US, like offering "birth citizenship" to their children born in the US, or some other 'fast track' to permenant residency, it makes no sense to work in the US on H1B, on a long term basis. The 7% immigration 'nationality cap' for green cards, is unfair to large populations countries like India in the 1st place, when it is alloted almost 60% of H1B visas. Meaning work visas in "specality occupations" will be given to 60% Indians, but only 7% of them will be ultimately granted 'green cards'?? Why this discrimination, when someone from Nepal or Sri Lanka or South Africa can get green cards in two years, but for Indians it's, 150 years. What traversiry is this. Stop issuing H1B visas to 60% Indians, then. Issue only 7% visas, so they can get absorbed into permenant residency. If America cannot find qualified STEM grads worldwide it's not Indias fault.😢 Why remain on a 'temporary' status forever. Why pay exorbitant tutions for US college degrees and work legally in the US, if it offers no permenancy or future. It's a natural progression that any professional will demand in any country. You will not enjoy the security of owning a house, a car, starting a family or take long term decisions on your savings and investments earned in the US, or the thrill of launching a startup. You'll just end up paying all kinds of high taxes to the US government, on what you earn and what you buy in the US, get no subsidies like those offered to US citizens and one day the US government after its needs are served, will just kick you out as a non citizen, after you have resided there for 10 or 15 or 20 years?? Rotten deal. I hope Trump knows, he is killing the 'golden goose' that is laying America golden eggs in the form of technical and managerial innovation. Look at the country of origin of the CEO's of top companies like Google, Microsoft, Tesla, Facebook, Apple and so many others. Either Trump doesn't understand the contributions of Indians working in the US, in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), [that forms 60% of the foreign work force but are granted only 7% green cards] or he simply doesn't want to. Either way it's America's loss. Better for H1B professionals to come back to India.
