Greatest tool video ever! I became a theoretical woodworker 3 years ago spending 70% of my time in hospital or bed. So I have watched waaayyy too many tool videos. So smart, cleaver, no, just genius! Thank you! Hope to implement your suggestions next month ! Please have a whiskey for me!

@@biscuittreewoodworksno worries. I had good results with some of the stud finders but it make sense that when you are around it gets too much interference 😂

Particularly liked the end of week tips (WTFriday)! Like the new-purposing ideas the most including condiment bottles and putting a magnetic temporarily on screwdriver shaft...

Alright, so here is a second one you gave me...I have a very small space (like think bedroom lol) with a rolling workbench and they all have side drawer slides....so when I move the bbench (its on wheel that collapse when needed) my long bottom drawer slides all the way open...I find myself closing it witth my foot too many times and always tell myself "I gotta fix that" cause its one of those annoying issues. I'm gonna p/u some magnets and see if that works (Harbor freight has a long magnet bar that can be popped open and it has 8 or so long rectangular magnets in them for just a couple bucks). I was just planning on replacing the drawer slides with soft close but that is a far more expensive option. Thanks for the idea!!!

Your videos are always down to earth and very informative and interesting. I do use a pencil on my wood but to remove it I use regular old rubbing alcohol and it has worked very well for me Keep up the great videos 👍🏻

One other feature on the FastCap tape measure is the white erasable panel on the side so you can jot notes/measurements while you have the tape in your hand. Also I use white chalk to write on darker wood what the species is and when I bought it so I know how long it's been in my shop. For lighter woods like maple I use colored chalk for the same thing.

Great tips! These are all practical the the use was informative. The tape measure is genius: I know I've seen you and others use it on YT, but it never really clicked what it or how how it would make me much happier than reading upside down and how much I'd love to have the fractions on the tape. The stud finder is pretty good, too. Good idea about the white pencil, too: I don't know why I make myself suffer through trying to read dark lines on dark woods! Three suggestions. First, having the smaller cup for liquids (and especially the syringe) is brilliant. Rather than filling up my trash with a bunch of small plastic cups, I re-use jam jars that are about, but a little bigger; specifically, Bonne Maman. They have wide mouths, which is great for finish, I put my home-made paste wax in there, small hardware bits, etc. Secondly, I guess I would worry about losing some suction power by putting wheels on the vacuum head: but I get that it's a tradeoff. Last, my analog calipers is the best; especially because it gives my fractions base 2 (8ths, 16ths, 32nds), but also 100 (percent). Thanks again: great videos!

Thanks! I'm glad I provided some useful information! Glass jars are great for finishes and dyes! Just don't use them for epoxy!
@chrismoore6359Сағат бұрын
@@biscuittreewoodworks I had no idea about epoxy and glass, but that seems important to know! Thanks!

@ not that it would cause any reaction or anything, just it will end up curing in the jar if you don’t clean it out immediately.

Glass pipettes, even with fluid liquids like titebond, are easier to transfer, leave less residue and are easier to clean, requiring only a long-handled cylindrical brush. For less fluid liquids, syringes are very laborious and residue cleanup is much more problematic.
