Chris I have been watching your channel for years. I got behind last year, me and my dad would watch it together, just can't find the time now. Then just binge-watched this whole build. You have done something amazing, you have built a car, that even die hard fans would have thought wouldn't have been worth going through everything you did. But you, a self taught mechanic with big dreams, like me, have done something I would have thought next to impossible. You have inspired me a great deal this time Chris. For years I've been toying with the idea of starting a non-autovlogger channel similar to yours. And this build, what you have accomplished in the last year with your channel, is making me kick myself for whimping out all this time. Not to be a hater, i think he did great for a non professional mechanic, but to me he actiually proved that he was in way over his head. He needed alot of help of 2 fabricators, a software tuner, wrap installer, and another guy to help around, and still ended up with a car thats half assed. Sure it looks good and is working, but there are no inner fenders, cracks in the dash, a bunch of boxes and wires in the trunk thats unusable anyway because of poor choice and fabricating of the fuel tank.... Just to name a few things. Dont get me wrong, he definately outdid himself and inspired others wich is what counts. But its not greatness and he was definately in over his head.

@@TheEvanovitch Had he not decided to take it to SEMA this year, he could've easily taken more time and figured all that stuff out himself (as he previously has). You've to keep in mind that the only reason he got all that help was so that he could make it to SEMA this year.

@josephmodesitt6 жыл бұрын
TheEvanovitch nah dude. He could’ve gotten this car completely built himself, definitely not in time for Sema which he knew. Software and electrical I’m sure with research he could’ve gotten close but who wants to deal with electrical things on a bmw anyways. Only need for all of the help toward the end was for sema. Only reason Eric did most of the welding was so that they looked superb on a car that he was putting his all into that hundreds of thousands of people were going to see in person. The car isn’t half assed. It was brought to sema as a running and driving car. Which was the plan. And which is a lot better then all the people that roll their cars into sema. Now he’s finishing it up so it’s perfect. If you think that’s half assed you’re on the wrong channel buddy.

Great build. Awful color. Color aside, those dudes are super talented.
