Vinh Le yea of course the others guys helped a ton, especially Eric with all of the welding. It was a team effort to get it done in time for the SEMA deadline towards the end of the build. From the initial concept, to the design on the computer, to initially laying out the frame rails and attaching the sub frames, Chris was most definitely the one enduring most of the “figuring-out” and taking the flak from the KZbin “engineers”.

Chris I have been watching your channel for years. I got behind last year, me and my dad would watch it together, just can't find the time now. Then just binge-watched this whole build. You have done something amazing, you have built a car, that even die hard fans would have thought wouldn't have been worth going through everything you did. But you, a self taught mechanic with big dreams, like me, have done something I would have thought next to impossible. You have inspired me a great deal this time Chris. For years I've been toying with the idea of starting a non-autovlogger channel similar to yours. And this build, what you have accomplished in the last year with your channel, is making me kick myself for whimping out all this time. I want to thank you Chris, you have inspired me to finally take the steps to build my dream. No other channel can do that, no other youtuber could have done that. But you have. Thank you!

Not to be a hater, i think he did great for a non professional mechanic, but to me he actiually proved that he was in way over his head. He needed alot of help of 2 fabricators, a software tuner, wrap installer, and another guy to help around, and still ended up with a car thats half assed. Sure it looks good and is working, but there are no inner fenders, cracks in the dash, a bunch of boxes and wires in the trunk thats unusable anyway because of poor choice and fabricating of the fuel tank.... Just to name a few things. Dont get me wrong, he definately outdid himself and inspired others wich is what counts. But its not greatness and he was definately in over his head.

TheEvanovitch nah dude. He could’ve gotten this car completely built himself, definitely not in time for Sema which he knew. Software and electrical I’m sure with research he could’ve gotten close but who wants to deal with electrical things on a bmw anyways. Only need for all of the help toward the end was for sema. Only reason Eric did most of the welding was so that they looked superb on a car that he was putting his all into that hundreds of thousands of people were going to see in person. The car isn’t half assed. It was brought to sema as a running and driving car. Which was the plan. And which is a lot better then all the people that roll their cars into sema. Now he’s finishing it up so it’s perfect. If you think that’s half assed you’re on the wrong channel buddy.

Any chance of a future video of the Fairlady getting a wiring harness weight reduction? And rear cover over fuel cell?

Damn, it took me almost two weeks to go through all the videos of the build and it was worth every second to watch. Not only it is an massively impressive car, but there was huge load of passion and commitment. There was a thrill also wondering if you will make it to SEMA. Truly epic. 💪

@War Zone yeah, as long as it has the original vin your good. Otherwise it would have to be registered for a custom vin, which many states will likely only give out a few hundred a year.

It varies by state in the USA but for the most part this car is no different than a Street rod/ Rat Rod. This car is built around the Original, and the original has VIN. As mentioned "Darian Trevino" VIN is the key to getting it done and stopping by your DMV to get the proper paperwork.
