So glad to see your video today! You have Grizzly n Bear ready for the trip! I wanted to mention that since I saw Stephi using the mandolin I have been using mine almost every day after it sat in the drawer for maybe 30 years! And it's still like new. I've been using it to slice every vegetable imaginable, but the other day I tried to shred carrots with it and it was pretty hard. I guess the main blade needs some sharpening. But thanks for reminding me I have that! I have the three "secondary"? blades that do the crosscutting, too. Been doing a lot of cooking lately, too. Can't wait for your next video. :)
@GrizzlyNbearOverland5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely loved your message Joe ! 😀 everyone of them actually. Yes the carrot can be difficult and sometimes dangerous in the mandolin. (I wanted to sharpen the blade few years ago and I was recommended to just get a new one) In Japan might get a new one again. In France I paid $30 for a Japanese mandolin. In Australia saw the same for $100 !!!

We do not have toilets. And no cassette with chemicals. We have a shavel. We go behind a big rock. And no one around 99% of the time. Squatting is also proven to be a natural and healthy position to do the business. Over here flushing toilets are extremely rare even in houses. Lots a people still have a hole in the backyard. I am so happy with the amount of water we saved over the last year or so from not using flushing toilets. (Without mentioning the amount of days without a shower) Haha

hi Grizzly, some time ago, i wrote here a question ... why Land Rover ? i'm following you from a while, i saw you had a lot of troubles ... why not a Toyota ? thank you for an eventually answer.
@leighdearle59655 жыл бұрын
Hello So we choose a Land Rover as a personal passion for the vehicles. They are also a proven capable offroad and expedition vehicle. I owned a Toyota for ten years and travelled around Australia with it. I had plenty of problems with the Toyota also. When choosing a car to drive around the world I think it's best to go with what you like and want personally. All cars can have problems and actually on our journey not many people that are travelling overland around the world have Toyota's. Mostly VWs, Mercedes, Nissan, Ford etc...
