The woman introducing the Bishop gives a message which is the antithesis of the true Christian message. She divides rather than unifies, and hates rather than loves. Wonderful to take in this breakdown of what Mass is, its aspects and ramifications. I would love to have heard a bit about the Holy Spirit and its central role in our gathering at Mass, our prompting to listen and respond, to whorship and adore. Our disposition, fellow Christians, is then important for the Holy Spirit to act in us and through us. Therefore, come to Mass that great celebration with a humble self and contrite heart; be partakers of that wonderful Mystery. We tend to forget or we don't emphasize enough the crucial role of the Holy Spirit in the Mystery of the Mass. The Holy Spirit that God the Father and God the Son sent to us so that we are not left as orphans. What do you want? said Jesus, what are you looking for? Build your relationship with God the Trinity! As Christians, we know that God is attentive to us. Come to Him whether broken, as a sinner, or ill with trust in Him, reverence for Him, and most of all love for Him. God said it Himself at least 100 times in the Bible I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU. That's Good News for all of us! Our reception of Him is truly a communion, a Sacred time in Him, with Him. The Transubstantiation occurs in a Catholic Mass when the Priest blesses the bread and wine transforming into the Body and Blood Of Jesus Christ. This Sacrament was instituted by Jesus Christ Himself at The Last Supper with His apostles. After blessing the bread and wine, He told them,”Do this in memory of Me until I return.” 1 Cor 11:23-29. *This* Bishop Barron, is how humility generates irreligion: for if we're to always purposefully take the lowest place, we are right and good to forever boycott God, and all contact with Him at all, period, as He would be the highest place, we're to have nothing at all to do with Him, forever. Thus we know by sheer logic and process of elimination, that since pride would lead anybody at all, any *singular* individual to seek to hang out with God; humility really does lead to us forever throwing out the *idea* of a deity to begin with. Hence the word of God, as doctrine has laid out, really does lead man to categorical rejection of God for all time and eternity. For if His word is true, it cannot possibly be either misunderstood or lead anyone at all to reject morals, since it inevitably does; He cannot be benevolent at all, no matter what "sacred writings" may say, as any passages of them that run contrary to that are heretical lies from God Himself due to His word running contrary to reality in any case at all.

By the way: We need a weekly, if not daily, Catholic over-the-air television show (not unlike Charles Stanley's) which addresses and explains the week's readings. I can't find one Catholic TV show Sunday morning that presents the Biblical Word from a Catholic perspective. I have to watch Protestant TV shows and filter out what doesn't agree withCatholic doctrine. Yes, I read my Bible, but I love your discussions on KZbin about various topics and think you could do a great job on television. Those who agree with this idea may vote to help persuade you : ). In either case, thank you for your loving insights to God. Finally, as others have mentioned here, I am sorry that the woman's introduction of you politicized your speech. This is not your style. Her introduction should be removed from the video and the video reposted without it. I am, however, very glad you let her know that her intro was inappropriate, and this you did by not acknowledging her introduction in ANY way. Rather, you sent a message to her, subtly, piously, in your non-response response to her introduction. If that woman has any subtly within her at all, she knows she misspoke by your lack of response to her. Bishop Barron has lovingly opened my mind and heart to the idea of a Holy Mass. Well more than that, I feel drawn to Catholicism more and more as a way to have a more meaningful relationship with Jesus and his church. I'm going to attend a mass even though I would never qualify as a member since I have been divorced.
