Bishop Dave O'Connell at NCYC22

The NFCYM community is deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Bishop David G. O'Connell. We offer prayers for the repose soul of Bishop O'Connell, his family, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
During the 2022 NCYC, participants were blessed to have Bishop O'Connell lead them in prayer in the Friday morning general session. He had a great love for the young church and truly advocated for empowering young people. While there are no words sufficient to express our gratitude for his service to the Church, we hope that by sharing the video of that general session, we can honor his memory and find a moment of peace.

Ireland, Bishop Dave's country of birth needs a faith revival. Let us all offer prayers to Ireland and all the people there, who saved western civilization as per Fr. Chris Alar's visit in Ireland a few weeks ago. Many countries in the world are suffering for lack of faith in God and in Jesus. Let us all pray especially the Holy Rosary to our Lady of Knock. Amen.

I am so grateful youtube directed me to this video of the late Bishop O’Connell. 🙏He was so Holy and Spirit filled just from watching this video on his amazing profession of faith and God’s love.
