That's how good if an actor Tupac was. He actually becomes the character. But in real life he was for our people, react to his music.

Juice means Power or Respect
@Whitebrowpriest5 ай бұрын
33:31 - "Juice" is simply an old school term for having a reputation that precedes you, more specifically one that produces fear in others when they hear your name. It's like, "Oh, Bishop? Better not f*&k with that dude, or you'll get messed up!" When I was coming up back in those days, having juice on the block was everything, especially in them hard streets. Before guns became a huge problem in the late 80s and 90s, getting juice was more about one's "posse" (as we called it way back when), you know, how many heads you rolled with in your crew. But then it became more about the crazy ish one dude was willing to do. Like blowing someone's head off for the smallest thing. I remember when guys used to get shot simply because they accidently bumped somebody on the street, or someone thought you look at them funny and was disrespecting them. It was truly nuts in those days. Now young folks are just altogether crazy, LOL. Juice has nothing to do with it; they'll shoot up a whole school simply because they felt like it. Products of GTA I guess, LOL.

Classic movie yeah one mistake that started their downfall was giving Bishop that gun when he committed his first murder he felt powerful and unstoppable and wanted to be respected which drove him crazy and turned on his own homies
@kennethmarrow31318 ай бұрын
FYI, the reason Bishop was so angry was revealed in the opening scenes where you see his father in a lethargic state sitting in the living room with a faraway look on his face. Seconds later you see Bishop being bullied by this Rodman character who taunts Bishop, revealing Bishop’s dad had been a prison guard and apparently been attacked, possibly molested. This made Bishop psychotic and he felt vulnerable and needed to prove his manhood. Also, for all you young-ins, the woman who Q was sleeping with is singer named Cindy Heron who performed in a popular group called En Vogue in the 90s.

1:46 - This cat is standup comic/Hollywood writer, Mitchell Marchand. He used to live right up the block from me, and we went to Junior High together for a minute (Louis Pasteur JHS in Queens, NY), When reconnecting with him years later on FB, he tried playing that role like he didn't remember a brother. Guess when folks go Hollywood their big heads tend to give them convenient amnesia on forgetting the regular folks. I know he couldn't have forgotten when I saved his behind from getting stomped by an older, bigger classmate, lol. But that's water under the bridge. I ain't mad at him. He's gotta do what he's gotta do, and be the kind of man he feels he needs to be for his life. It's all good.

There was an alternative ending to where Tupac aka bishop At the end where he’s holding on Qs hand but when he heard the police sirens he had a scared look on his face and said”I ain’t going to jail man” then he lets go then falls to his death.
@wiquonbanks35747 ай бұрын
this should have stayed in the movie tbh. A big reason Bishop was so insecure and obsessed with respect was because his father was raped in prison so it's really telling that he would rather die than go to jail and meet the same fate as his father or worse
