Bishop Manu Menon from Palaghad, (Kerala) is serving the Lord for more than 30 years.
The Marvelous Light
As God spoke, he moved from Bangalore to Ernakulam and started a Church by the God-given name “Marvelous Light” which is currently in Kochi, Trichur and Trivandrum. Who we are in Christ, what all things are in us, from where we came, where are we going are some of the topics addressed in the Marvelous Light, aiming to make the attendees deep rooted in Word, while they experience deliverance from dark forces, healing and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
Testimony
Born in a high caste non- Christian Family, the eternal truth about salvation changed him to become a servant of the living God. He is not advocating change of religion. He understood the Truth and that Truth empowered him to stand for it. Despite his devotion to the worship of the gods and goddesses, he was heading to a state devoid of peace and failed to answer the question “Why should I live?” Later he got a good job and started a thriving business, but his peace was on the decline.
For the first time he attended a prayer meeting to pass a job interview abroad. There he had a divine encounter and he experienced repentance and became a new creation as in 2Corinthians 5:18
Success defined
Man is a spirit. The realisation about the significance about the human spirit and its final destination (heaven or hell) opened his inner eyes to view success as fulfillment of the purpose for which God created us which stands in contrast to the common view of success which is measured by wealth or name or fame. As we know almost all religions believe in the afterlife of the spirit as evidenced by the religious rites they do for the spirit after the physical death of the person. Unlike the general misconception that Sprit goes somewhere, it has a definite destination as stated in the Scripture. Success is abiding in Him and doing His will on earth not necessarily indicated by name or fame or wealth.
