@ArtSomething3 жыл бұрын
Yeah man the Q2 is a SOLID machine specially at its price point. As it really does compare well to the Wand. I would say the wand is a step up but not far from what I was already use to. I do look forward to seeing how it holds up after a year as well. Oh and congrats on picking up the Q2, if you haven't tried it yet I think after a little messing around with it you'll enjoy it. Thanks again Luke always great to hear from you brother!! 🤘🤘🤘

I had always wrapped the grip of the machine with paper towel then coban wrap for a thicker grip. When I got the xion I just covered it with the clip chord cover then coban wrap just to see if the way they designed the grip would be better for me. And surprisingly it was. It’s the only way I use my xion. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the great videos

I feel like the Q2 is the budget version of the Wand...the machine you buy to get you from A to B until you are able to invest £560 in a top quality machine...was happy to see the bishop was the machine you upgraded to, always wanted to see them compared side by side! Something to work towards, keep it up bro!
@ArtSomething3 жыл бұрын
So true my friend the Q2 is still my option and choice for anyone looking to get into tattooing and doesnt want to break the bank. Also its just a solid machine all around, I didnt have to upgrade to the wand, but I did want to see how they compare. And so far its just really refined version of the Q2. Thank you Matt and i will say this machine is pretty cool and consistent, so a great choice for when the time comes. And dont be scared about being a 30 yr old apprentice cause that was me. I got out of the corps and at 29 I was apprentice. Though I went off on my own later on I still have only been doing this thing consistently for about 3 years and the first year was rough but it gets better the more time goes on. So remember if its something your passionate about you will make it happen. Thanks again matt I really appreciate the support and thank you for your service!! 🤘🤘

Don’t trip on your age I started tattooing early in life and my coworker started in his mid thirty’s but because he went to art school and his more mature he’s picked up things fast...plus your lucky with all the great tech out today I was tattooing with coils in my apprenticeship and a lot of that is no longer valid in rotary cartridge tattooing
@mattlachman87233 жыл бұрын
@@ivanmendoza8457 yea that's my mindset, never been much of an artist but I've always been fascinated by art and tattooing in general. I've collected ink for years now and am shocked at how just practicing daily for a few hours has improved my skills dramatically. Heading to school once I am out of the military to dive into the theory and establish a strong foundation before heading to the human canvases... though my leg wont make it till then, its just begging for me to test out a line or two.

I'm a little unsure of this so if anyone could shed some light on this for me I would be grateful.. This machine, the Bishop Wand Shader, is obviously built for shading, but he starts it off by pulling some lines with it. So, correct me if I'm wrong, but is it basically like, this machine can do anything, but is just really good at shading? Or is it something else? I was looking at this type of machine, and paying $600 for a shader, $600 for a liner and $600 for a color packer seems crazy to me.. Why wouldn't you just buy a machine that can do it all? I'm sure there is probably a good reason, I just don't know what it is.

No problem im glad you enjoyed the video. And yes you can line shade and pack color with this machine. Bishop has a liner a packer and the shader. With that said each can be used for other things as well if they work well for those other things. For me the shader works great for shading lining and filling color, again thats for me.

Hey Semper Fi brother! I really enjoy your vids. I have the Q2 and am very fond of it. Throughout your vid I felt that the wand was head2head with the Q2, maybe the Q2 was seeming a bit better until your end quotes. I dunno, maybe it felt like you were given this machine and had to make it seem better than the Q2 because of a sponsor. Whatever bro, I think you are doing great things and I am happy to support you. Like I said the Q2 is performing excellent and agree with you on it of which it is a pristine product. P.S. Love the blade!

Semper Fi brother!! I love the Q2 man as its a solid machine at a great price so I really dont think anyone can go wrong with it. That being said I have NO affiliation with bishop nor did ANYONE send me this machine or ask me to do anything. I bought this machine with my money and did the research into what machine I wanted to try next. My Q2 is still performing great but for me I wanted to let people know this machine is very similar to the Q2 but just a bit smoother in all categories. These are just my onions though. Thanks again Brandon for the support and great to hear your still rocking and loving your Q2!!! Oh and thanks man I love that blade.

Hi mate, Question for you 😀 Do you think the difference between the cnc q2 and bishop wand warrants the extra expense? Ie is the wand 2-300$ better than the Q2

I think the Q2 is great value for money. The Two machines are a little different as the Q2 seems to hit a little harder then the Wand shader. So I guess it would depend upon what your looking for. I like them both but am enjoying the wand as I do believe it shades a bit better for me then the Q2. The wand feels like it has a little give as the Q2 does not but again it just depends on what you like, as some like a little give and other not so much. I hope this helps you make a decision and thanks for watching my friend!🤘🤘

Is the way you wrap the BW, the same way you were wrapping the q2; or did you find a different way to keep them both sterile? Hoping to apply the method to my q3…

I got the wands but for some reason I been having a hard time getting lines to stick. I've only done a hand a neck so far tho but those places weren't a problem for my coil machines. Do you have any advice for the rotaries or wands?

IF you bought the wand shader then you may find it harder to line. I say that cause the wand shader is setup for shading and has a weaker motor in it so it hits softer for shading. I can line with it and what not but its not the Best for lining, due to its brushed motor. Many end up getting this machine for shading and the wand packer for lining and packing color. Hope this helps and thank you for watching and supporting the channel! 🤘🙏🤘

@@ArtSomething I use the liner for lining and the shader for shading. I decided to throw the need all the way out and that helped. I just have to dip more often
