Afraid so. I've talked a lot about it on my instagram and twitter channels. I used the proper gear, techniques, and still screwed up. I will tell you my doctor saw my bruises and said, "I've never seen anything like it". My response: "Well, that's reassuring."

@@FoorTrek I haven't been keeping up on social media other than facebook lately. Too much craziness these days, and truth be told, I stopped facebook for a while. Still, I'm glad you're OK! A few years ago, I had my whole right foot rebuilt. During consultation, doc took an X-ray and told me "Your foot is MESSED UP!" (It was because of a birth defect)

Dear Dr. Foor, You are definitely my favorite hiking professor ! My most sincere condolences for the loss of your mother. Mothers are truly unique and irreplaceable ! Mine is still around, and she lives with me. I am grateful for each day I see her. I am surely glad you survived the fall. You made an amazing recovery !

The Lost Creek Wilderness, especially the Tarryall range and the Lost Creek / Goose Creek drainage is one of my favorite places in Colorado.

For an Ohioan who will be doing this hike next summer (thanks to watching your Bison Peak videos), do you have any tips and/or recommendations for a flatlander doing this hike?
@FoorTrek3 жыл бұрын
Trail is well marked. There's only so much training you can do regarding the elevation. A healthy diet is the best start.

love the big flat area up there, and super beautiful "run" thru the forest on the way down. thanks for the great message at the end glad you are hanging in there

So I just hiked this today, I’m from PA. How in the hell did you summit this so fast?!? This whole damn hike was brutal. Granted I had a 3 yr old in a carry pack but even if we didn’t stop so many times I can’t imagine doing this less than 3-4hrs
@FoorTrek4 жыл бұрын
Congrats on the hike. It's steep. Real steep, but it's still a trail and I can simply move fast from training on this, especially doing technical bouldering hikes. I LOVE PA!
