I totally agree. Even Floor the leadsinger had no problems with giving Marko the lead from time to time ("While your lips are still red" Wembley 2015, "The Islander" Tampere 2015). Marko also sings lead in the tribute to Pink Floyd "High Hopes" (End of an Era concert 2005). Both Floor and Marko are outstanding singers. Concerning Emppu: I just love this man! He is a great guitar player but always humble and smiling, as said before a team player. You have already reacted to the Japanese metal band Lovebites. This band always shows great guitar solos and duets. If someone especially love this Lovebites should be your first choice.

Oh Bisscute, now you HAVE to listen to their version of High Hopes (live). Not only is Marko singing, but Empu is on fiiiire. To be honest, I think that is the best performance of every band member, but then all in one song. Trust me, you will not regret it :).

I know you're a fan of Marko singing, you said that before. So I would suggest htat you check out High Hopes with Marko singing and Emppu doing one of his longest solos - just brilliant! Don't be disappointed after the first - the 2nd will come 😀 You might know the original from Pink Floyd, this is a tribute (not a cover). Even some Pink Floyd fans have said that they like the Nightwish version just as good, if not better.

Emppu is such an underrated guitarist indeed. I think also because Tuomas writes most of the music, Emppu doesn't get the credit he deserves for playing it all so well

If you watch documentaries from Nightwish you can see that all band members and especially Emppu are involved in the making of the songs. Emppu and Tuomas are the last remaining founding members of the band and longtime good friends. If Emppu would not agree to what Tuomas wants it would have been changed.

Where much music (metal or other) can tend to be formulatic (guitar riffs and drum solos) Nightwish is anything but. Everyone does what is needed without having to be the “star”. Floor may be the front person and perceived as the star but she totally realizes and appreciates that it is the presence of all of them performing together at the very highest level that creates the Nightwish vibe and excellence. The juxtaposition of her insane range and presence and this bands hard hitting insane talent is incredible Absolutely kickass. Kai in “Beast Mode” on the drum kit…….as usual🤘

I always think this song would be perfect as the theme in a Bond movie. Regarding Emppu's solos, that's the thing with Nightwish they never put themselves before the song so his solos are just what the song needs.

New NW will take a while because Floor had a baby and has been given "mommy time". Also, all the band wanted a rest and time to work on side projects (Floor publish a solo album). The band needed a bit of a respite because they tour for very long periods with only short breaks. Before her second daughter (Lucy) was born, you could see Floor in the Tribal video (a compilation of three concerts) singing around six months pregnant. At that time, she was practicing the vocals for the new album at the same time. Six weeks after giving birth, she did the vocals for the album.

Empuu has definitely asked for longer solos, but that’s not Tuomas’ thing. One of my favorite Empuu quotes is that every good song should begin with a guitar solo and then have two more guitar solos in it. In other words, there won’t be any good songs on this album either. 😂

Just subscribed about 1 month ago. Don't get on here very much, but I was looking through the music you have reacted to, and I noticed a lack of The White Stripes. Nice reaction biss, there bands very theatrical, some tasty soles with tha orchestra would make it more spectacular, but thats something you can always fill in at any time in Concert, shes a dynamic singer, if you want to hear some shreading with lots of short soles, listen to meaga deaths song "hanger 18" that song blows everyone's mind when you hear it,i hope you love spain ❤😊
