This was a good explanation of why the error was happening. And a good fix. One side note is that you need to be vigilant on emptying out used water. If you dont it will go into the motor

Thank you so much for this video. This is the 2nd time it happens to me. This is my 2nd replacement of the tank and everything else. I opened it as you said, my machine had Abt 2-3 tbsp of dirty water in there. I dried it up, screwed everything back together (I WS afraid of cutting wires) full tank light came on. Took it apart again, dried it up then put the hot glue where you said but didn't remove the metal posts. Screwed back together and VOILA....IT WORKED! NO MORE FULL TANK LIGHT. I didn't cut wires because someone else here did and still didn't work, then another person said you have to watch the tank to not overfill and lastly because I would've done it if you had actually demonstrated that it worked. But I do thank you for the video it definitely helped 👍🏻👏🏻

Thank you for creating this video. I discovered a fair amount of moist crud under the screw area, too. I'm guessing this also contributed to the error. Thanks for your info and clear explanation

This worked like a charm! But, you went overkill with the hot glue, mate! I just nipped the wires in the middle, tucked the ends away, put it all back together and Bob's your Uncle! Cheers!

I appreciate the description of how it works! I've pulled the metal out and have put silicone the where the metal entered. My theory is keep all moisture from going up into the wire area. Silicone has to cure for a day before I can test it though.

You can skip the removal of the metal tabs and hot glue by just opening it up and snipping the two black wires. Factory sealant and metal tabs can stay in place.

@@Chiefy3 I tied everything except clipping the wires and submitted for an Amazon return. Perhaps ill find a used one for a fraction of the price to experiment but I actually need a vaccume that simply works like yesterday. I am over sweeping the the floor and my phillips vaccume lost the suction hence why I had tried this HF3 as the 2 in 1. At this point I am looking for an old tried and tested Dyson to tide me off until I figure out which 2 in 1 I will get in the future. I mean I spent like 600 on this professional grade steam thing I did not think thru. until I just moved I forgot I have that water that turns white so it did the opposit of melt the germs away and/or steam clothes etc. I thought I bought the ultimo steam machine which was a huge fail haha. so far this new place does not have the chalk affect with water so I should probably try that again.

So this did not solve my issue. What would happen if I cut the pink/ red cables as well? Would the machine still work like normal?
@RottenInDenmarkOrginal2 ай бұрын
If you cut the red wires, the system won't be able to complete the circuit and the machine will think the tank is not in place at all!! DO NOT CUT THE RED WIRES!!

does everyone believe this is even worth it or should I just send it back and get a refund? This seems like a lot of hoops just to try to get it to work when the error refused to go away after not even finishing my bathroom on its first use. Remind me why this is magic please?
@SoundShiftAudio Жыл бұрын
I do want to say that it is absolutely ridiculous the hoops you have to go through to make this unit work as it should. It is a very poor design flaw that should have been fixed a long time ago. I went through 3 units, trying to find something that would actually work as you would expect. After the third time, I gave up and just solved the issue myself. I shouldn't need to. Hell, no one should.
@elizabeth3280 Жыл бұрын
@@SoundShiftAudio so does this mean I should just send it back to Amazon and get something else? I bought it on black Friday special for 250 so I was pretty stoked until it did not even finish my bathroom. Now I am debating on surgery or if I should just get like a tried and tested used Dyson or something and buy a swiffer or something this has been way more time invested trying to fix this then it takes me to vaccume and mop my entire flat.

Me personally, I got tired of doing the whole, return, get something different maybe thing. I wanted this machine. I works so well when it does. But for you, wheat I would do is, outweigh what you feel comfortable doing. If you dont feel comfortable opening it up and fixing the issue, then i would get something else while the sales are still going on. Do what you feel most conformable with. You could fix it now and try it for a few days, if you still dont like it or want to bail out half way through, u got it from amazon. They accept all returns no matter what. So try it and see where it bring u. If u get to a point where u want to just give up, amazon makes it easy for you to return and exchange.

@@SoundShiftAudio Ill open it up and try what you did, I dont know how well it works as the error popped up when i was finishing up with my bathroom which is the first room I started with after a few stokes in the hallway to get a feel for it.
