I honestly don’t understand why anyone would ever use a machine like or similar to this to pick up spaghetti, coffee grounds, etc. I have the corded cross wave pet pro and it keeps my hardwood floors looking fantastic, and passes the walking around in white socks test. If I had a big spill, especially food I wouldn’t even consider sucking all that goop through a machine

I completely agree. I was thinking why wouldn't you just pick up the big chunks then hit the floor with the crosswave for the fine details. You wouldn't even do that with any machine or regular mop.

same as i thought. the machine is good for really good spot clean. it makes the floor feels so clean and shiny. picking up gulp of a mess would just add debires sticking to the roller. although i have used it on a day dry smoothie i split near the fridge rushing to work. came back home and it clean up the dry smoothie easily. i was surprised. i used it on bathroom rug, and it felt like i dont have to take it to the washer anymore.

Bought this vacuum after watching the video on amazon for 328 on sale. When opening out of the box, I was impressed on the quality feel of the unit itself , with a nice weight to it but still easy to lift with one hand. Did a great job on the bedroom hardwood floor, very easy setup , pieces just snap in, click. Again top quality. Battery indicator only dropped to 2 bars after a full charge and using for 30 minutes while constantly holding down the wash/spray trigger. Cleaning after use was easier than expected. Again pieces snap in and out easily . So just empty dirty water tank , put back in vacuum to run self cleaning cycle which is about 40 seconds, then disassemble again, snap out clean, and dirty water tank , rinse , cover for brush roll snaps out then brush roll itself snap out , rinse and let dry. Brush roll for me was clean from the self cleaning , but for heavier messes you can rinse this again and then let dry. My vacuum came with multi surface and wood floor cleaner so you’re good to go right after opening. Bottom line, highly recommend, thanks VACUUM WARS for this video which that and Bissell’s amazing customer service convinced me to purchase.

I stopped using the cross wave for pet messes and bigger spills because one of the downsides of traditional mopping- coming in contact with the mess- was present with the crosswave too. It also made it more of a hassle to clean up messes, especially pet messes, since you have to clean it which takes almost as long as mopping, but then have to thoroughly clean the machine to avoid smells and bacteria from sitting there until it's next use.

I sweep and vac the floors before I use my crosswave max. So as you mention its a mop replacement and for that its great. I have 2200 SF of hard wood floors and if they are dirty I am barely getting 1/3 of home clean on battery time. If they had a 60 min battery time it would be so much better for this price point.

Ok I just have to say this...why on earth would you use a vacuum like this to clean up anything extremely messy like the spaghetti on a floor?...a simple pick up in 3 secs with a rag or cloth or paper towel will do just as good a job and you won't spend 20 mins cleaning the bloody vacuum afterwards!!!! I've got the Crosswave Advanced model here in Europe and use it in a large room 15' x 32' to mop/dry the laminate flooring every 8 weeks or so. As a daily vacuum to pick up accidental messy spills etc the paper towel is used.

I've thought this too... i can clean a spill faster with a paper towel.
@blurayffan66
@blurayffan66 4 жыл бұрын
@@stlwrx Exactly- the real issue is the time consuming clean up of the Crosswave itselt! I will add, however, I think it is absolutely brilliant as a wet mop for a larger floor area...I love how it drys the floor too. Much easier and better than getting a mop and bucket out. I also tried it out on a thin wool Persian Kelim rug that got a little stained underneath from the latex antislip...worked brilliantly on that too (the Kelim rug) with the correct cleaning solution (used the Bissell Wash & Remove Pro Total w/OXY). As mentioned in another Vacuum Wars vid I did have to double the recommended amount of solution tho to get it to work.

I have the regular corded crosswave and I love it I dont use a broom ever . It's the best invention bissell has made , I can crosswave my whole apartment in 10 minutes and it only takes me 5 minutes to break down and clean. I love how bissell made it so easy to take apart , when it breaks down I will get the cordless max . . I have all hard wood floors except my bedroom but I have the shark apex zero m for that . Only thing I wish is that the crosswave solution was alot more fragrant it cleans my floors fantastic dont get me wrong the water is black everytime which is good . But you cant really smell the solution in the air . So if your a person that likes strong smells , I would suggest just getting a mop and fabulouso and after you crosswave just go over your floors again with just the mop . I know it seems dumb because it's like well what's the point of my crosswave . But its strictly just for added fragrance. And it wont take long because the crosswave has already swept and deep cleaned so it's just a quick pass over . This is what I do because I like strong smells .

I love, love, love, my Bissell Crosswave. I can clean the kitchen floor and go over bedroom carpets to give them a cleaner look and smell. The clean-up of the Crosswave, for me, is no problem. At least I don't have to unscrew anything and try to put it back together. Like a Kirby, I can make it look brand new every time I use it. I don't know of any other machine that can do regular floors, carpets and rugs, is lightweight and easy to take apart and put back together. I'd love to have the cordless features with a cord. I usually need my machine for long periods of time and have no patience with waiting for a charge. Thanks for the video.

@ImmaPandaRawr

Totally agree with the con about clean up after use. What I personally recommend is to vacuum your floors with a regular vacuum first and use the crosswave as your mopping tool. I’ve tried vacuuming dry with the crosswave and hate it. Stuff gets stuck in the filter and clogs it within minutes, it can’t get corners and has no attachments like a dedicated vacuum. The mopping/wet vacuuming is the best thing ever though. Have yet to find anything else that cleans my floors as well. It can remove layers of dirt on floors. This new cordless crosswave seems to out perform the pet pro (what I have currently) in many ways. But one con I feel is the battery life. I use my crosswave for my entire house, 1300 sq ft of 99% laminate flooring. In my case a 30 minute battery life would be a huge inconvenience. Right now with my pet pro it takes me about an hour to do my entire house. Usually have to stop once or twice to empty the canister or do a self clean to unclog the base a bit from dog hair. If I really want to deep clean I move slower and it can take longer than an hour.

Ive been using a Hoover Lynx for the kitchen by occasionally some water gets on the ground and the slightest bit of moisture on the brushes just makes a mess. Even tho I have a shark apex duo clean zero m i dont use it to vaccum my hard wood floors . I dont have a problem with small debris getting clogged . For instance i vacuumed a bunch of sesame seeds yesterday and cleaning was fine . I also never use my crosswave just in dry mode I always have my trigger down while I'm cleaning . So it's doing what its avertisted to mop and sweep at the same time . I dont just do a couple of trigger presses for each area. So there fore I dont have a problem with debris . I can break down and clean my crosswave in 5 minutes as stated before. So I'm not sure why people complain about clean up . But also it's just me and my boyfriend and my dog in a 1 bedroom apartment and I have just light messes so maybe that's why . And also I'll use the cleaning tray with 2 big cups of water after every clean to throughly flush and I clean my filter after every clean and let it air dry over night . And twice a week I break my machine down completely to clean throughly. I use my crosswave everyday

I need something I can take out for those once a month deep clean jobs on my laminate, textured floor. It's a white and grey faux wood. Would the Hizero be the better choice for deep clean? I guess thats because it uses two wollers with much higher rpm. The best solution would be the tineco device, its cordless and according to many reviews it dont leave streaks. It uses much more water or better said the waste tank fills up much quicker compared to the Bissel but it leaves the floor drier. So it uses more water to clean but the floor is still much drier which let me think bissel make something wrong in the design.

I’d like to see how these type do over grout lines. Because the grout will normally be 1+ millimeters lower than the tile, how clean can it get the grout lines?

It be interesting to know more about battery life. How is its long term battery lifespan? Will it start fading off and not holding charge after a couple years? Is the battery replaceable?

Here's another tip using the crosswave.. I use a different brush for each floor.. even if you use the same multi-floor brush.. Obviously the kitchen is going to be the dirtiest.. so I use 1 brush for the kitchen, 1 brush for the hardwood floors, and 1 brush for the rugs. And FYI one brush for the bathroom. You would not want to clean up bathroom floor dirtiness and then spread it on the rest of your floors.. The self-cleaning Trey works well. But it's not going to disinfect that stuff..

Cordless Max not available in Europe ? What's the difference between the crosswave cordless vs cordless max, apart from the obvious 5 min extra run time ?

Excellent vacuum and well worth the price🌼 We have 6 dogs and our old vacuum couldn't keep up. First run with the Hoover Pet Max was great! We were quite surprised to see how much it picked up. Would definitely buy again.

I had this wet/vac for about a month now and I'm honestly going to say that the idea of this vacuum is better than the actual vacuum. The only reason I'm keeping it is that my husband wants to keep it for quick pet clean up. I've had to hover and go back and forth for 2 to 5 minutes straight over sticky spots and you also have to have the right solution to remove really tough grime. it's not worth 400.00 honestly. but I'm overall happy that someone reviews it, does the green one have more color have more power than the turquoise? Great Video, overall!

Thank you for this interesting video. I think major manufacturers have new generation of hard floor wahsers like this one: Tineci and Hoover especially. Do you plan a 2020 war for hard floor washers :)

We want one for daily cleaning... specifically cat hair. We have 7 cats and vacuum our carpet 1 time a day. We pick up quite a bit daily. However we want something to vacuum and mop the hard surface floors... daily as well. Torn between the two. Any suggestions? We won’t be picking up and spaghettios... cereal...only dirt and pet hair. Love the idea of cordless but is it designed to keep up with pet hair like the pet pro?
