Yey... At 14:28 we arrive at my exact problems. My little piece that receive the water tank isn't sitting high enough to release water from the tank. I solved that by placing a little piece of a wire connector over the center of that to raise it and deptess the tank release valve... Yey, my no spray problem fixed but now the rased piece won't allow the valve to close...resulting in the drip leaking water onto the floor at the back of the machine. Guessing I need a new gasket and maybe the little receiver (or whatever it's called) , but I'm trying to make it work today with what I have as opposed to buying parts that may or may not actually resolve my problem Looking forward to the final 10 min of thevid to see what happens next. Thanks for making these cause I wouldn't have the confidence to dive in w/o them. 😎

Thank you for your videos on these Bissell carpet cleaners!! Now if you developed a cutout and replace valve for these tanks, and manufactured and sold them, you'd soon be a millionaire! Cut out the leaking valve in a circle, repair it, and have a plastic ring and epoxy that glues the repaired valve in, water-tight. It's a nice dream, isn't it? So, what I've learned about how NOT to have this problem in the first place: DO NOT POUR BOILING HOT WATER INTO THE CLEANING WATER TANK!! My wife confessed that she poured hot water from our electric kettle into the tank, instead of hot tap water. I wound up getting a new tank for $35. I'm still keeping her, she's priceless. 💘

Thank you for this tutorial. First of all I think this is a common problem with Bissell.. I have this exact model and it’s leaked from day 1. I use it all the time on my tile floors because it does a super amazing job👍. But Super annoying to have it leaking all the time. ….Now I’m not getting any spray. I thought it was the pump so I replaced that today. Still no water. Blew the lines, they’re clear. Working my way up, there’s plenty of tension on the trigger. I took the handle off and used a screwdriver to push that thingy down. Still no water. So I guess now I’ll get the new tank and see how we do with that 🤣. I’m glad I found your video! It definitely helped me get through the process so I didn’t have to ask my husband. You’re much nicer to work with than my he is. Excellent in depth video… you are amazing! When searching for the cause of a problem there is a strong desire for that “ lightbulb” moment when you find the culprit. Doctors, car mechanics, electricians are all in a major way just Detectives. You are allowed to go down many paths in a labyrinth as you search for the way out… the main lesson is don’t give up! You won in the end and that is what motivates me… when you win enough of these battles you gain experience and confidence and then you tackle everything that most mortals would avoid… that attitude makes you able to perform MAGIC for your customers and leave them in AWE of your skills. You are a PROBLEM SOLVER… and in today’s world that is getting to be a rare talent.

I won't possibly remember where all the short of long screws go, but next time I'll remember to mark the holes with a silver marker (S, M or L), and to check for You Tube videos FIRST! Oh, I'm going to check to see if Bissel lists a replacement silicone gasket for the tank. I suspect it took a "set" over time, and I'm hoping can just be changed.

Mine is not leaking from the auto receiver. I have figured out that the part next to the auto receiver (the one with the spring, that actuates with the handle) is not sealing tightly when the trigger is released. This is causing the cleaning solution to slowly trickle out of the tube at the bottom of the machine where it feeds into the removable brush cover. Do you know what that part is called and if there is a replacement for it?

My clean and dirty tank are perfect. What I think the issue was….was the mode selector on the side. Somehow it slipped out of place and kept the clean water hose open and let water gush out. If anyone else is having this issue, disassemble the middle part and make sure the mode selector is properly in place. No leaks for me so far

Mine was leaking right out of the box, I just paid $300 for this thing and it's leaving big puddles when not in use. It looks like they are using cheap rubber cement to glue the valve to the bottom of the tank. On mine the source of the leak was obvious and the valve easily pulled off, I'm very lucky it didn't fall off, it was that loose. Having it screw on would have been a much better design, what the hell were they thinking when they designed this? I think I'm going to call Bissell today and if I don't get an ass kissing for having to deal with this nonsense then I'll return it and buy a Hoover. I've owned Bissell carpet cleaners in the past and was very happy with them. It's pretty obvious they have no longer have quality control. Thanks for posting the video, I was pretty sure I wasn't the only one dealing with this issue, thanks for confirming.

Leaks in the tank is either a crack, a broken seal or the gasket on the bottom needs replacing. ( the part that connects with the auto receiver) no permanent worth your time fix for cracks. Water will it’s way. Honestly the simplest answer is to replace the tank
@JStizzy-x4 ай бұрын
I had the same problem with the clean water tank leaking / dripping when the vacuum is leaned back. I took off the little red gasket at the bottom of the clean water tank. (Monroevacs shows how to get the gasket off in kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5CclHyMm9xpp5Yfeature=shared&t=410 ) I then wrapped teflon sealing tape around where the gasket was on the tank. I used 1/2" ptfe teflon sealing tape, and it was the perfect width. I probably wrapped around 5 to 10 times. I then put the gasket back on over the ptfe tape. It seems to have solved the problem. (I couldn't find a replacement gasket for the Revolution Pet ProHeat, or I would have just bought a gasket. I could find replacement tanks, but I didn't want to pay for the whole tank.)
