This could not have been more timely for me. Literally in the middle of replacing the belt when I noticed the jackshaft was the real issue. Thanks for this.

My man. Thank you so much. This was super helpful. I couldn't figure out why my brushes weren't turning after i took them out and gave it a clean like the official Bissel channel said to do. Still no movement and a burning smell. The shaft had rusted & seized and this was the only video i could find to explain it well. Legit legend. My wife thanks you too.

The belt caps have a lil tab that goes into the vacuum next to some white plastics inside ..does the tab go infront of or behind the white plastic?

Hello Wayne, After I connected the new shaft and put the machine together, the brushes turned perfectly; the motor sounds good and strong; however the clean shot does not work, it does not shoot any water out, and when I press the trigger on the cleaner handle to dispense the water to clean the carpet, a small pool of water just comes out from the bottom of the cleaner. I do not think that this is right and I wanted to check with you before I take it all appart again. I checked your video on replacing the pump, but I do not think that my pump is broken. Could I have done something wrong as I was replacing the shaft? I know that you will have to guess, but your guesses are always correct. I called you a whiile ago but you were not there. Left a message for you to please call me with the hope that you can help me out with my new problem. Thanks so much. Raquel

Sir. I am a subscriber to your channel (all the way over the Atlantic in the UK!) and just wanted to say how extremely helpful your videos are. I have been repairing my Bissell Revolution Pet Pro (changing belts, pump and new shaft) and your videos have be invaluable in guiding me through each process, so thank you very much. I have one question though that I hope you can answer: after having disassembled the machine to get to the shaft and pump, I think I might have dislodged the white plastic bar at the side (sits under the belt metal drive shaft from the electric motor). I think I have put it back in the right place but can you confirm that the end of that white bar that sits under that drive shaft from the motor actual sits over a small plastic retaining shaft? I do hope you can confirm. Again, very many thanks for your fantastic videos.

Yes. A black knob that sticks out- it slides the shaft when the machine is released from the upright mode

The belt between the shaft and the motor in my machine is sliping , but i noticed that the motor main shaft gets so hot that you it will burn your fingers if you touch it so is this normal or there could be an issue with the motor and its overheating ? other than that the motor sounds normal and every other thing is working just fine
@monroevacs8 ай бұрын
Start with changing the belt

After a while the belt will get slick and generate heat

Is there a way to keep the top portion on, and remove just the little panel that is behind the brushes? If that doesn't make sense I can grab a picture I have no idea how to word it

Yes if possible use my contact page on monroevacuums.com to send me pics

Need some help. I took it apart and the shaft is rusted, but the bearings still works and turns. The belt feels tight still, yet it continues to come off the shaft. Should I buy the shaft and the belt to see if it fixes it?
@monroevacs10 ай бұрын
Start with a new belt
@monroevacs10 ай бұрын
Also make sure that there's no belt residue on the red ball
@that.5_ohhh72810 ай бұрын
Ok thank you. There is some residue from the old belt. I purchased both so I’ll try just adding the new belt and clean off any residue left over. Thank you

Hi there can't we just replace the bearings can it come apart it is such a waste to replace the shaft and it costs a fair bit
@monroevacs6 ай бұрын
If you have the removal tool and the bearing, give it a try. You can always replace it if its not successful
