Hi Melanie, thank you for your vid. I recently bought one of these machines, and while I am pleased with its mopping, the vacuum seems terribly weak. Moreover, as I run my hands around the unit as it vacuums, I cannot feel any exhaust air coming out. I note the vent on the left side as viewed from the rear, and I don’t feel anything at all coming out of that. Do I have a defective unit? Is there a thing I need to do to open up this vent so that it works? it sounds like a vacuum motor is running inside.

Unfortunately I can't say if your device is defective - I am just a regular user of the product just like you. But maybe you can try the device on max and see if that helps. Also there is a little plastic flap inside the vacuum dirt bin that may be blocking the opening or maybe the machine is clogged. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe you can reach out to bissell and see what they say. Please share your results!

Good review. I have one of these robots and I love it. It takes some time to set up the zones and stuff like that, but it works great overall. I would like to chime in on the LiDAR technology piece as well. The extra features you see in the map that look like other rooms are actually the laser seeing through the glass doors to your deck. It "sees" the space past the glass. The dresses and blinds are a similar problem - the LiDAR sees them and they hang below the top edge of the robot and the robot does not know that they could be easily pushed aside - it just sees them as a barrier. The TV stand is just tall enough that it thinks it can fit but the top round piece is just too tall to fit. Anyway, I hope that helps.

Hi. I have been looking around for a robotic vacuum for a while now. Most are so expensive with things I don't need. All I want is one that vacs well and is able to pick up pet hair, normal dirt, bird seed and a little bit of kitty litter. I won't use it on carpets. I am hoping the mopping will do a reasonable job until I do a manual mop. Are you happy with yours and would you recommend? I do have 2 areas that at on a different level, so hopefully I can lift it there and use it in those areas. They are only small areas. Are you happy with the mapping also. I would really appreciate your response. Thanks

I think it's a little pricey, but a good product once you get the hang of it. Maybe they'll have it on sale before Xmas!

You said it vacuums and mops at the same time. How is this possible when you take the dust bin out and put the water tank in. Where does the dust go when it is vacuuming and mopping at the same time?

The mop tank also has a small dust bin built in. But I recommend that you don't use the mop tank for vacuuming. Mostly use it for picking up small bits when mopping.

That's a bit different. I'm surprised the app didn't have a pre-made map you could use to sort of create zones. I also think that's probably for smaller areas maybe. As always thanks for sharing.

Yeah the app could be so much better. I also have a Roomba so I have some bias. But at this price, Bissell could have done a little better. It cleans pretty well however!

@@CheapCheeky they probalby worred more about the mop/vac quality as opposed to the app. But as long as it works hopefully they will have an update soon fixing some of the features.

Did you already have it map the entire house? You may need to use it a few times before it gets an accurate map. Then it shows up automatically in the app.

I’d like to suggest you actually learn about how to use the product BEFORE you film a review. This review seemed like you didn’t know what you were doing and gave a false expectation of the Spin Wave R5. I have the older Spin Wave robot and it works well but the R5 looks like it’s a big improvement in performance with the addition of LiDAR. Which you failed to mention.

I have a Roomba, so this is the only thing I can compare it to. But if it's an improvement over the last spin wave that's awesome! I wasn't aware of the Lidar technology so thanks for enlightening me.

That little round nub on the top is the LiDAR sensor which is why the SpinWave won’t move far enough to clean Inter your blinds or dresses. You did a decent job at this review though.

I thought the review was ok, for someone searching for a neophyte review, it's ok. I'll watch another one but if you need to watch 10 reviews to make it works properly, the product doesn't seem interesting. She seemed to know how to fill it, where the filters were etc. Not the worst review I've seen. But yes, maybe a review after a few weeks or a few months to give your opinion after a bit so we know if after a while, it's easier to use.
