Mad Max 3 Beyond Thunderdome. Mel Gibson is the Mad Max I grew up with and I'll always have a fondness for the original 3 films. Mad Max 3 is where it seems the world of Mad Max finds its voice and fully leans into the mythical tone that defines the stories in this world.

@@BissFlix yeah the original ones are the best. Might not have the big special effects but a better story.

Unlike Fury Road, this gets better the second time you watch it. I love Fury Road, one of the best actions films ever made, but the story is so simple that it's really the action moments that holds it up. George Miller did kinda the opposite with Furiosa, he wrote a more fulfilling story with less shocking action scenes, which also makes Fury Road even better. The only mistake with Furiosa is that they took too long to make it, it should have been done just after Fury Road when everyone was hungry after more. But hopefully we'll see more of Mad Max despite the bad ticket sales.

@42:25 "What was the guy with the car?" That's Mad Max. That was the opening scene from the next movie "Fury Road." He's about to be grabbed by the war boys kicking off the first movie which follows this one chronologically. So quick a lot of people miss it.
@russellknight52883 ай бұрын
Thats Chronologically incorrect. When Max in the hills overlooking Furiosa crawling through the desert, is like 10+ years before Fury Road takes place. Max has short hair and the Interceptor is in much better shape than in the opening scene of F.R.. Also, Furiosa is maybe 18-ish? when Max barters her to the maggot farmers and 30-ish? during F.R....
@timothyhedrick52953 ай бұрын
@@russellknight5288 he literally stamps on the same lizard and eats it just as in the same opening scene from the other film... You are honestly saying Max overlooks the exact same terrain, leaves for ten years, and then returns to the exact same position ten years later for the opening of the next film??? Obviously, Charlize Theron did not return for this film so they had to make do with the same actress. They used three different actresses to portray Furiosa, they weren't going to a fourth that wasn't Theron.
@russellknight52883 ай бұрын
@@timothyhedrick5295 that is not the spot from the opening of Fury Road. Neither Max or the Interceptor look the same. Furiosa is several years younger here than in Fury Road. The time jump is necessary for Dementus' peach seed to become a full grown tree. That event happens between the Max scene in Furiosa and the beginning of Fury Road. Your version doesn't make sense chronologically.

36:10 the reason he didn't follow her isn't because he couldn't fit through the gate... it's because he saw dementus' army coming and he knew that if he ran with furiosa they would get chased into the desert and killed, so he decided to let her go and stay himself to distract the army and keep them off her back... but unfortunately furiosa didn't listen and his sacrifice ended up being for nothing, same as when she refused to listen to her mother

I like BlissFlix and am so glad she reacted to Furiosa! However, I truly don't get how someone can be making circus songs while Jack is being killed a long painful death. It's not just BlissFlix, it seems to me like many people just don't give an F about Jack (and often also don't give an F about Furiosa's mom) - - what is going on? Am I crazy for caring about these characters? I'm hurt by how un-hurt people are by this movie!

George Miller's Australian, and so are quite a few members of the cast so it's funny to see them go from their typically wholesome roles on local productions to these wasteland savages! The Bommyknocker guy is indigenous Australian Quaden Bayles. He was bullied horrendously and had a bunch of Australian celebrities show up and support him. The Fallout games are inspired by Mad Max. You should also look into the making of the original Mad Max movie. It was done on a shoestring budget but changed action movies forever.

Any movie where the main character's mother gets crucified, and then rips her own arm off to escape capture while her love interest gets dragged to death and mauled by dogs was never going to be the family-friendly movie pick.

Fury Road is the best Mad Max movie (albeit not much Max), followed by Road Warrior, Furiosa, Mad Max and then Thunder dome. This felt a little disjointed for me and some dodgy CGI as well. Great performances from Anna Taylor-Joy, Tom Burke, Chris Hemsworth and Alyla Brown as young Furiosa.

Anya is amazing in everything she does. And she was perfect in Queen's Gambit. But a season 2? That won't happen. At least according to everyone involved. There is no source material and the show ended perfectly satisfying. A second season would need to introduce drama, which would most likely mean Beth relapsing and noone could honestly want that. And luckily, the producers and everyone else responsible know that and won't touch it. No second season in the works. :D
