Bitcoin can be controlled, compromised. I believe you discount the fact that Bitcoin, and every other crypto need 2 things to function that it doesn't control: 1) internet, 2)electricity. All the government needs to do is shut those 2 down and your digital wallet becomes useless.

It is money but that doesn't mean it is currency. precious metials are burdensom heavy and susceptible to counterfeits and unequal weights and measures. silver and gold has very high commissions for the money changers. paying like 20% premium for an ounce of silver. I like the cryptocurrency concept because it can avoid thse problems. there is stuff better than Bitcoin though. Bitcoin wastes energy and has high transaction fees and is slow. I much prefer Nano (XNO) as it is energy efficient, feeless, has no inflation, decentralized, and sub-second transactions. look into it.

Cold wallets still rely heavily on 3rd party software - eg Ledger. You don't ever know your private key, just a 24 word sequence that will restore your actual keys given the Ledger software. In effect if the 3rd party software defuncts and your stuffed ?

I am a bitcoiner and follow the Biblical laws, and to me, the only way our current USD/fiat money system could get more evil would be through the implementation of CBDC. This would allow the fed to be able to see and control every single transaction made by everyone at any time, and thus, have control over just about every action we take. Those who are quick to criticize Bitcoin are either “in charge” and know that it stands in the way of the current fiat system, or they truly don’t understand how money works and is printed. To me, if someone is leveraging Bitcoin as a way to partially rid themselves of our evil, slave system, I’m all for it.

A helpful thing for the crypto ecosystem is to DYOR, do your own research, to understand what it is and how it works. There some really helpful channels out there like crypto Casey, coin bureau, altcoin daily and savvy finance who keep their ears to the ground and can guide people through their journey👍😁

My take, another investment tool. Yes, if you store your crypto in an exchange, it can be stolen from you and that is no different than storing your money in a bank. The bank can limit withdrawals or even in the event of a banking collapse your money can be wiped out. As of right now you can't move crypto from PayPal. They hold it for you. You can go get a cold storage wallet like the nano s or nano x online.

Yes, the blockchain transactions for some coins can be viewed, but all it shows is wallet address sending, amount, and wallet address receiving. There is no personally identifiable information as long as you keep your wallet information private (don't display a wallet address on your website if you want to keep the transactions private). There are certain cryptos that have even more privacy features.

I view stuff like crypto as a right now barter item. Last year people in Alabama were literally willing to trade their house for 3 bitcoins. If I was an early investor when it was dirt cheap, I would be owning a lot of Alabama real estate and corporate liquidation. It's just a tool right now for bartering for real items privately. There is a reason why the black market loves this stuff. As long as you use it to buy homestead items and metals, I don't see an issue.

Regarding Eschatology, I only started being interested in it in 2020 of course. Prior to this I was a Pan-Trib guy, in that everything would Pan out in the end, and I left it at that. But since I have been in the Messianic worldview since 2005, I decided to revisit End times ideas once again. I currently absolutely hold to the Sages view that 6 days of Creation equals 6,000 years and the 7th Day which starts in year 6000 begins the Millennium of Sabbath Rest. If the Hebrew calendar is correct, and I say if, then we are in year 5782. This would mean we are in the eve of the 6th Day and only 218 years before the beginning of the 7th day. If correct then I believe we are witnessing the fall of Babylon prior to the Return of Messiah to lock Satan up for 1000 years. The Systems of this world, the Religion of this world is Babylon falling before our eyes. This could literally take 200 years to fall or it could fall quicker. Or the Calendars are grabbled and we are literally right next to the Sabbath reign. Either way, Babylon is falling. 🙏

However, if believers set themselves apart by not buying or selling Sabbath, this can be done by anyone anywhere, no matter the technology (microchip, digital currency, vaccine, so on). I've always felt that Yah's mark is the keeping of Sabbath specifically & the sign of the beast is likely NOT keeping it. Afterall this day was set apart & Holy. It says several times in Torah "let this be a sign upon your hand & as a frontlet to your eyes." (The keeping of other Commandments further proving depths of obedience too). However, The Sign of Yah & of the beast as well, both had to be something that was timeless, something that separated & marked ALL generations, NOT just those in the final days. If that is so, it CAN NOT be a modern invention like microchips or cryptocurrency. How would past generations have been marked? Instead, it would have to be something that set apart Yah's people all the way back to the beginning, to Adam. And although the Torah/10 Commandments as we know it wasn't given until Moses, the Sixth day Sabbath was... it was given at creation!! To me that's pretty good evidence that keeping the Sabbath would mark ALL His Elect throughout time & on the flip side also mark those who scoff & are disobedient with the sign of the beast. I'm still studying Torah, but I trust Yahuah will reveal all truth in time to those who diligently seek him. Praise Yahuah!

I'm a financial planner, and I have no desire to own crypto currency. The #1 goal of a currency is to have price stability. Cryptocurrency is anything, but that. They will never be used for their intended purpose and will always be a speculative investment. They have about as much real value as a beany baby, they are completely dependent on popularity. I noticed as the price dropped fro 60k to 19k this year, my obsessed friends dont really talk about how great it is anymore.

Paper fiat money doesn't have much real value, only what those who produce it decide. There's nothing stable about that. In the long term, 3, 5, 10 years plus, and a bunch more adoption, you will most likely see bitcoin etc. way less volatile, and as a strong commodity/asset/property👍😁

Question Zach when maybe you find time? Does this seem about right biblically? Thursday - Passover proper. The lamb is killed, and Jesus and His disciples eat the Passover meal in the upper room. Friday - the Day of Preparation. Jesus is tried and executed (although never convicted). The Jews continue their “Passover” celebrations with the chagigah, offerings made during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Saturday - the weekly Sabbath. Sunday - Resurrection Day.

You dont' have to convert to dollars. You can spend it in the form of satoshis. Or you can spend it with immediate conversion using BitPay. The govt can shut bitpay down if they want but they can never stop anyone from spending it in the form of satoshis.
