The best way to understand Bitcoin/blockchain is that there is no 3rd party behind your "account", or money in this case. Whereas if you send game tokens to someone, the game could shut down your account at any time. But with blockchain, there is no 3rd party - the software is the 3rd party but it's decentralized so no one can ban you.

But bitcoins can still be stolen. And your transactions can fail or be dropped before they even make it into the blockchain. This is because there are lots of 3rd parties involved, the exchanges, the wallets, the miners, every internet node your data passes through, etc. Blockchain is like a super strong steel door installed in a cardboard wall. Decentralization is a myth. No matter how much you decentralize the software, unless all the hardware is also decentralized, your money will not be safe. I think you missed the point of this video.
