Bitcoin Wouldn't Exist Without Him - A Conversation With Adam Back

We had the opportunity to talk to Adam Back, the man who invented the technology that lead to the creation of Bitcoin, and the CEO of Blockstream.
Many say his contributions to the world are worthy of the Nobel Prize, but we believe they're worthy of much more.
Adam Back is an early pioneer of cryptography, he invented what would come to be known as Proof-of-Work; the fundamental innovation of Bitcoin that makes it possible to create digital scarcity on a decentralised, self-organising network: Bitcoin. He laid the technological underpinning necessary for Bitcoin's invention, so we asked him some questions about his thought process while all this was unfolding, as well as his thoughts on the current state of Bitcoin.

Lol he runs side chains and limit the size of blocks. Bitcoin doesn’t function optimally under his oversight. Glad bsv and the original bitcoin design (“bugs” as he calls it) is still growing and around doing 1M tps and able to handle all the data. People who are for small blocks obviously don’t understand how spv nodes work. Take it from a real math and computer science guy, Craig is Satoshi not this goof

A central or semi-central form of price enforcement is critical to controlling deflation, deflation is just as bad as inflation for a currency and they go hand in hand. If the system does not control its own price someone else will, (I.e Tether et al printing infinite money to pump and dump the price).

Bitcoin is unaware of its price in dollars or euros or chickens etc. The amount of BTC people are willing to trade for goods and services, including fiat currencies, is entirely set by a free and transparent 24/7 market. The system does not seek or require any external control by definition.

You could also take it to mean he's awkward because peoples questions are assuming he could be satoshi, and its cringe. Like when Jonathon Nolan is being interviewed and they inevitably say something like "So you didn't work with your brother on this, but you guys have had so much success together. What are some challenges, whats different or scary about doing something of your own?" and his credits for 15+ years have already been half his own projects...

Yes and he immediately responded with the general consensus of criticisms of it, rather than with any praise, or sense of amazement of it, to try and obscure the fact that he wrote it. Imagine how he would have responded to that question if someone, other than him, had solved what he had been trying to do for years and invented Bitcoin.
