IMO it’s because we are still in speculation phase and haven’t begun to see true adoption- I think that will come after btc price gets above 500k- after that I think volatility will not be as wild as it is now

Ok, so with your logic, to stop bitcoin we must arrest Elon musk? Once Elon is gone, bitcoin will just disappear? Bitcoin existed before Elon and will exist after Elon. It is decentralized because who do you go after to stop it? Also 1 bitcoin will always equal 1 bitcoin. That means a bitcoin in 2010 is valued the same as one in 2019 because the supply is capped at 21 million. That seems like a store of value to me.

@@TheSerenation Hard fast rules for investing that produce guaranteed outcomes---that is what you are implying. Charts are unambiguous and susceptible to a thousand interpretations. But the conversation is about whether BTC is a store of value presently, not whether investing is risky. The whole point of a store of value investment is that it is LOW RISK. People don't invest in gold because they have a high risk tolerance. I'm objecting to the store of value narrative based on recent experience.

And if someone got in at $50k+ they fell into the trap the elites set for them, crash the market, get you out of your bitcoin so they can scoop them up which is exactly what's going on. Long term holders are swooping in. As with any investment, 3-5 year time horizon, regardless of asset.
