I grew up wade fishing. I got one of the best holes in the state for smallmouth. And what's crazy is nobody fishes it. Easy acess. You'll catch 2 lb smallies and even an occasion largemouth. You need to check it out. It's only a little over a hour from home. It's a place i hold dear to my heart. Been going there turkey hunting and Wade fishing for 30 + years.

Hello Cole nice catch the red-eye bass. Have you ever heard of a Chinquapin Perch ? The Escatawpa River that comes down out of Alabama and into South Mississippi and empties into the Pascagoula River Basin , has them. Could or may resemble your red-eye bass ⁉️

We call that a creek fishin mission down here. They are a ton of fun to fish and you never know what you may catch. Those red eye look nothing like the red eye bass we catch lol they look like rock bass we have though. We have red eye, tons of panfish, largies and spotted bass but no small mouth unfortunately. That was a awesome place bro. Just beautiful thanks for taking us along for the adventure. You and Jay have a great one and tight lines.

You might want to add a pair of scissors that will cut braid cleanly, as that will cut mono and fluorocarbon too, but treat your teeth like they need to last a lifetime, put them on a lanyard with the coils so they are easy to use, and they pull back out of the way when you’re finished.❤

@Cole & Jay look at minute marker 19:07 when you have that issue with the weight and not seeing the fish. On the surface of the water right below your hand you can see what looks like a red reflection in the water then a second or 2 later just to the right of the first one.. explain that?... very interesting 👌

I enjoy watching but I have some constructive advice about communicating to be understood. You know what you want to say and when you have a measure of excitement in the moment you must remember to be understood, words must be clearly pronounced and slow enough for folks to process. Just a kind suggestion. You have a passion for my favorite sport but I’m getting older and am not physically able to fish very much any more. So, I enjoy watching you. Keep it up. My Dad who was favorite fishing buddy always said “the time you spend fishing is not deducted from your life”. He lived to be 94 so if he had fished more, he might still be with me. 👍🏻🤣🙏

While they both look very similar they are different species. Rock Bass (Ambloplites rupestris) don’t occur in Arkansas. We have two other subspecies: The Ozark Red-eye bass ( Ambloplites constellatus) which occurs in the White river and all of its drainages and then the Shadow Bass (Ambloplites ariommus) which occurs in the South-Central part of the state. All three are awesome fish and I wish we had true Rock Bass here to catch since they get the largest lol

...I love your videos but would like to make one observation...When doing your closeups of the fish or your reeling after the cast, your camera is positioned so your hand obscures seeing anything covered by your hands...It is not always the case but is often enough to frustrate seeing what's going on st the time of the strike or hook set...Just keep up with the great videos...Stay healthy you guys...
