To me, both Guthrie and Milne don't feel right. Both heavily censor themselves and both are shady. Glad they're both gone.

This is why 4 corners and Media Watch don't deserve as much flack as they would on social media. They (both shows) would call out the network (ABC Australia) to prove that NO NETWORK IS SUPERIOR OR PERFECT. We Americans need shows like these. If we did, Fox would've had over 250+ "calling out self" episodes.

Ask Cardinal Pell how so great they are.
@PattoDan4 жыл бұрын
Rob Dewey cardinal Pell was treated no differently to any other subject of investigation in an abc documentary. Have a look at the revised episode about Pell on Revelations. Exactly the same test that Pell said should be applied to all victims was used by the ABC to explore the story of another alleged victim. This victim did not participate in the original trial and now would have nothing to gain since Pell was acquitted by the high court. He is a compelling victim and very believable. Is there enough evidence to prove Pell was guilty beyond reasonable doubt? Many eye witnesses recall Pell being at the locations where this person was abused by Pell. I have no doubt Pell is guilty of this crime and, as a pattern of behaviour can be established from it, the cardinal likely guilty of the other alleged crimes. There was never any witch hunt against Pell.

Guthries attitude, her mimic, the way she speaks and pronounciates, scream FAKE. If she managed to survive in Murdoch's shark tank for 10 years and even make it to the top, she isn't that lovely, innocent lady, she wants us to believe she is. Her mimic and stumbling speech ,while trying to answer tough questions, is so off. And I've never seen this person before, because I'm from Germany. Bonus: you've been victim to inappropriate sexual advances and you don't wanna file a complaint? But mention this AGAIN, while being sacked by the overwhelimg majority of the board? please.
@rorythompson54105 жыл бұрын
I dont believe a single word out of Guthrie,she accuses the chairmen of sexual harassment then refuses to make a formal complaint then throws it in her rebuttal to the board then claims she doesn't understand why they wanted to her gone,she also had a horrible evaluation from all the workers in most corporate spaces if your scores are legit abysmal its only a matter of time before you are out the door,her own management team hated her the board hated her the minister for communications hated her so is it everyone else or her?

It is no coincidence that in countries in the world where they don’t have a strong national public broadcaster, they also have little in the way of public scrutiny of the government of the day. Luckily in Australia, Canada, New Zealand or Britain, and elsewhere, all public broadcasters are the bane of politicians and corporate entities, with good reason. Long may they continue. And as for bias, it seems bias is now judged solely on the basis that something doesn’t agree with that individuals view.
@lindsaywebb19044 жыл бұрын
SMARTARTSMEDIA ..exactly. Repeated investigations have shown they are balanced. The national broadcaster should be be further separated from the government where budget is concerned - wherever funding comes out of consolidated revenue, the govt. of the day can weaponise the ABC budget and whittle away at their independence and ultimately their effectiveness.

I have been fortunate to study, research and write on the topic of leadership. It is very difficult to improve one's leadership style or practice. This is not to say that one cannot improve, but it is very, very rare. The 360 is an effective tool, and for someone to act so nonchalantly about a poor 360 score is surprising to me.
