This was THE premier rock band in Detroit in the early 80s. We followed them everywhere! They were so professional and thought for sure they would hit it nationally. I just assumed they played Time to Move all over the country because it was so good. I was shocked to find out it was only a local song. A great looking band for sure and super nice guys. I remember the girls went nuts over Tim Marko (the drummer). They were very entertaining and great showmen. Miss those days. Thanks BSA!

I remember that drummer coming into the now closed El Zocalo back in about '85. He always sat in the same spot and always had a dime or two with him. One time I was telling a co-worker who he was. He asked me what song they were known for. I told him "Time to Move." what does this guy do? Right after Mr. Drummer pays the check my coworker goes up to him and asks "time to move, huh?" Another time my brother came in with his best friend who was a really good bass player. I, being just a 15 year old knucklehead, told them "hey, that's the drummer from BSA (as they were also known) sitting behind you guys!" My brother's friend replied "BSA?!? Boy Scouts of America? who cares?"

I will always be proud of the fact that I made the prototype license plate for BSA. John sands copied my prototype and never gave me credit. It never mattered to me because I was just so happy that I was the one who came up with the first BSA license plate.. Doubt me, I have all the receipts. My initial BSA license plate was not meant for mass production, it was an homage to a band that I really respected and admired. Love you, BSA, You know who you are, John Sands.

@@stevenhartwell8094 Yep, My Place Lounge. Rock on the first floor and dance music on the second with a slide in between. That along with the Struttin Club on Gratiot was my favorite underage drinking establishments.
