Excellent vid! As a woman who's been skating since she had a fresh pair of Salomon STi Pros strapped to her feet (I'm 37 now) I really appreciate the time you gave the women skaters in this vid along with your support. It's true more girls need to get involved in this sport but without proper visibility it just wont happen. I still skate and hope that when a little girl sees me at the park or wherever that they get curious to give it a go themselves. Cheers, mate!

Good vid, great points all around. Your cast of bcsd was gold too. One point I'll disagree with here was your take on Austin pazs bit on the suspension wheels- his point was that as set 1+2 go up, your skate tilts down, as 3+4 go up your skate tilts up, making the entire skate like a seesaw, not each group of wheels as two seesaws per blade. Keep it up, subbed!

That's pretty much my thoughts too on BCSD. I only saw Naylor do like 2-3 cool things, but all I had was irollerboot's stream for most of it. Savage and Jesus were both doing way more stuff that was edit worthy I thought. But Ima just trust the judges and the crowd. I wanted to root for my man Tre, but he wasn't going big like the podium crew. I appreciated Edward's stream so much too, but didn't find it until much later. So happy I could watch any stream though.

Naylor won because while everyone was hucking tricks that they barely had a chance at landing, he was doing a ton of tricks that he knew he could land and then threw three or four hammers down when it mattered. He honestly skated the comp as smartly as he could have after his first few tricks he attempted looked like he wouldn’t come close, he just moved on and it paid off for him.

@Tom Moyse I don't think they are part of model made for profit. I'm going to compare it to golf; titleist have a CNCPT golf club. Only for the rich. Fittings occur only at very fancy clubs. Turnberry etc. This one clun type has a level of prestige that people want. It isn't the bread and butter of the companies profit or business model though. It creates and maintains a level of prestige wanted by the owner. Thats how I see the Bank-Buster Brutale or whatever it is called. Petey The Knee-Capper of Kids loves prestige. Everything he values is prestige. So it fits in with his vision of the company and perception.

Y’all tweeeeeeeekin, Luke won hands down, skated every obstacle and did crazy shit on every obstacle until the very end . He was doing the spin to win tricks and unique tricks that nobody else was doing. If cudot would’ve landed the 360 top acid drop tta I’d give it to him. I’d say that was the deciding factor in my book 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

The Adapt bit is funny for sure, but bit of an easy target. Being neutral is the more adult thing to do. Lino is actually one of the few who knows both people involved. Yet entitled zoomers are a little too keen on cancelling someone over something they know little about. Also claiming any skate will make you skate 5x better is dumb. It probably will however be 5x more comfortable and last you 5x as long. And its completely made by hand from the best materials over a period of 4 weeks by one guy, so yeah 1350$ isn't crazy.
@TomMoyse
@TomMoyse Жыл бұрын
Easy target, how so? Lino wasn’t choosing to be an adult, he chose to ignore what has happened for his own gain while actively promote the brand. Being an adult would be standing by your morals. Who is the zoomer? I’ve seen the statement, I know what he said he would do it again. I don’t agree with this. Behaviour. There is not a chance they are 5x more comfortable. Say they are though, I can skate all day with intuition liners and they are perfectly comfortable, no pain no issues. x5 more comfort is redundant so why spend x5 more? I’m sure material and labour and a little profit does come to €1350 - the difference is not worth that. I’m not buying them, but he’s not making them for me.

@@TomMoyse Well, easy target because of the drama and high prices. We also have to be careful not to confuse "what has happened" with what has happened. Saying something isn't the same as doing something. Right now Pieter is almost getting treated as if he has actually broken Levi's legs it seems. Not excusing threats here, just saying there were things going on between them about which we'll never know the details. Any case no legs got broken. Exept maybe some long toes 😂. And sure these skates arent for everyone but dont forget there's many olderbladers comming back, 30's and 40's, from the 1990's era (like me) as are many old pro's which I love (Roadhouse, Zamora, Jon Julio who never really stopped, Sven Boekhorst, Aragon, ...) so this brings with it an entire market of people for who 1350$ isn't that much, especially if they last long. Best to embrace this demographic of the market (and their money). Much love

@@lw991366 Ok I understand the easy target but I’m still punching up as they are bigger than me and it’s new worthy. Oh I’m not confused, my issue is the alleged threat and then lack of accountability shown in the response. I can’t speak on how others may be viewing “what happened” These are niche and I bet there is a niche within the niche who want these skate. There is a lot of other brands I would rather support with my money. 🤝🏻

i was there as its my local, few people talked to cudot...and he was recovering from an injury... as far as whom won...is was a crowd decision.. and they were all in favor of luke takin it... this isnt a popularity contest... as mention i was front a center of the entire event from noon till the very end. its all comes down to the skating....not some dumb social media Bs of who the popular company or person is , that some wack shit.

No it’s not. That’s a very honest statement to highlight the fact there is a clear difference between watching a stream or highlights compared to being there with the purposes of judging. I really hope you can see how the Lino situation is wildly different. Haha 🙌🏻

@@TomMoyse Okay yeah it’s different but I got your attention 😅 The stream wasn’t really that bad, there’s also a few people who were there that stated the same. Is it not strange the other finalists had plenty of tricks featured on video but Luke had only a couple? Also, the judging criteria set forth had nothing to do with who the crowd cheered for most.
