I missed making these quiet bookbinding videos 🥲 I recently shifted my Patreon benefits so that I'm committed to making these at least once a month. Patrons at the Book Buddies tier receive a voiceover version of this video, where I talk through my process and decision-making. I'm excited to continue documenting my bookbinding process and growing my video skills! Thank you patrons for making this possible, and for your encouragement to make these videos again.

Thank you so much. Your quiet gift is so inspiring. I receive with gratitude your gift. I learn how to quieten my mind and soul and find joy in a new bookmaking technique each time. So happy to see the half binding method. Kathy

Hi, channel so happy to see you've posted a new video. I couldn't find where I could make another donation to your bookmaking book your putting together ( I can't wait to purchase it) but I did notice instead you're setting a goal for patronage so I joined your tea time tier hopefully that will get you closer to your book fund goal. When I can I will upgrade on your tiers. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome talents. ❤ ~Gina~

Wow you’ve really helped me along with my bindings! And for that I thank you 🙏🏻 and also the pearls of wisdom you share. I’ve really been struggling to motivate my self to make books but I have such low energy I’m finding it difficult to apply myself and commit to making books. You’ve taught me to do other things like plan and discover new methods of binding & techniques, and get out and walk more 😊 You’ve come so far in your journey, your really inspiring me. I’m getting there and you’ve become part of my journey with your blog & channel. Thank you Chanel 📒🙏🏻📚

Nice casing in technique, looks the opposite of the “standard” technique, but looks more precise! Ideal for anyone who’s using straight PVA as casing in adhesive. As always, thank you for your hard work :)

Your videos are so easy to watch in the morning as I'm not a morning person and can't bear a lot of noise. lol. And I just LOVE your choice of gorgeous Japanese papers. It's cool that you bring some of the oriental culture into the business.

been inspired to try bookbinding for myself by watching your videos! very pleased to see that while I had not seen this video prior to picking up my supplies, I got these exact rachet clamps from the hardware store, so I guess I made a good choice! hoping my first attempt comes out even half as lovely as yours do ☺

I love the contrast between the matte colour of. the spine and the colourful splash of the bookcloth covers, what a great idea! May I ask what type of paper you're using for the spine? Is it some sort of canvas/linen bookcloth or textured cardstock? It reminds me of the first hardback editions of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket that I grew up reading.
