Hello friends :D Like the foolish fool i am, i forgot to cover the humanize feature in the inspector tab! for anyone wondering it slightly alters the timing of the notes to give them a more human feel!

I can't believe I never considered using the arpeggiator as a step sequencer. This is dope! Thanks for the video!

This is by far the best tutorial on the Bitwig Arpeggiator! Thank you!

I use the arpeggiator all the time. Now I realize I wasn't REALLY using the arpeggiator at all. Thanks for the awesome demos!

PRO TIP: Nail a rug to the wall so you too can simulate stroking Garron's lovely beard as he speaks! For the manual adverse among us, you are a literal godsend! Thank you as always. Particularly looking forward to vocoder and Tree-monster! ✌

You should ask Bitwig to hire you as a content maker. This makes Bitwig far more interesting :)

Thanks for taking the time to come up with preset examples for Bitwig devices that sound good. This will be the best Bitwig series in existence so far IMO.

Did you feature the arp Humanize function? If you do a remake that would be good to throw into one or more of your examples since it's so easy and drastic.

@@monroeja Thank you so much jeff! I dropped the ball a bit with the humanize function! i had taken a note to cover it and forgot when i was recording the video!

When you hover over anything and press Ctrl-G(arron), Bitwig should pop up a video overlay of you explaining wtf the parameter or module does :) just think, you could be the new clippy! Another excellent vid btw.

Of all the examples you provided, the drum fill was probably the most lacking in that it didn't sound as great as the other examples you provided. If you want to delve deeper into how to automate cool fills I'd greatly appreciate that. I've been trying which is how I've learned some of the techniques you showed, but I can't seem to nail great ways to create good drum fills/transitions that I like. I will keep flooding your comments. Sorry about that, but I'm becoming a fanboy. I think you're close to a discord. Let me know when it happens...I'm in. I very much like that you're a talented guitarist and bitwig user. Skol.

Hey sorry about the drum fill man! Haha I had about an hour to prepare the examples and the snare fill became a victim of the time crunch...but I wanted to include the idea! I’ll definitely go into drum fills in future with some better examples! If there becomes a need for the discord I’ll make one for sure, but I’m really only starting with these videos so I’m trying to focus on improving the quality of them first 😃

Nice arp explanation, thanks! Does anybody know how to design sound from 13:02? Sounds like a nice 90's classic
@GarronsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Push a saw wave through a filter with high resonance, then put that through a lot of distortion! Have some very slight modulation on the filter like a slow pluck. That’s basically how the sound in the video was made 😀

@@GarronsMusic Woah, that works pretty well. Thanks a lot :)

I might be missing something but how do you deal with silences in patterns and continuing with the next note in the chord? You can make steps silent by setting the gate to 0 but the next step after that will always play the same note, I want a silent step and then have the next step play the next note in the chord. So like step1: note1, step2: silence. step3: note2 (instead of note3) It seems like a basic funtion that's missing.

Frustrates me that you cant drag the arp parameters about with a single click and hold. Such as pitch, velocity and gate. Your forced to drag each one by one individually ugh.
@GarronsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have to agree they definitely could improve that!
