Just to comment on CPI figures, it's quite important to go beyond the headline rate. Excluding shelter CPI is at 1.8% - BELOW the target rate. If you exclude shelter then core is at 2.1% - about on target. Why is shelter so elevated? Rents aren't going up. It's because mortgage rates are high which is a direct result of interest rates and the Fed. I am sure the Fed still won't cut rates because they're idiots and will say inflation is still too high, but essentially in data terms (and we can discuss whether the data is accurate) the Fed are keeping inflation higher with their refusal to cut rates. Just like they were too slow to react to increasing inflation, they're now way too slow to react to slowing inflation and continue to keep rates significantly higher than even the headline rate.

Watching today, this TV quote came to mind. 'Darling, I love you but you do make everything sound like an epitaph.' 😅 I do get it. I lost over half my crypto because of that FTX nightmare. Suppose I was lucky not to lose the lot. Still waiting to be made 'whole' although that won't ever be because I'm not getting the bitcoin back that I had, which at the time was worth not even a third of what it is now. year 2140 its not Bitcoin thats mined, its Satoshi... the last time you will see whole Bitcoins mined will be in 8 or so years. After that, the next halving will have each block produce less than 1 Bitcoin. So in 2140 it will only be small amounts of Satoshi each block produces

As bad as the SEC was behaving, in the end, they still made sure the BTC ETF must be backed by actual BTC. This means the big institutions can't sell it or dump it or manipulate the market with it, not yet anyway.

Thank you. It's worth consideration that to double its price BTC needs money. Today's market cap of bitcoin is $1.4T. To double it another $1.4T is needed. Who has it? Who is willing to put $1.4T into crypto market? Even if ETFs will put $500M every day it is 2800 days. That's 7 years of constant inflow.
