Andreas Atzl is a real cool Austrian Dude 😉 i think its funny that many Competition Shooters use his Triggers (he is a real passionat Hunter and Sportsshooter), he also builds Triggers for the Blaser Company that you can directly buy from Blaser with their R8 Hunting Rifles, he is also known here in Germany and whole Europe for making really good Barrels for Hunting and Competition Rifles, including Barrels for the R93 that are discontinued from Blaser directly, i have met him at the Hunting Trade Fair in Salzburg a few Years ago he also builds his own Custom Alpine Huntingrifle Line (de zum Jagern / its Austrian Bavarian Dialect and means nothing else then the Rifle for Hunting)

I interviewed the sons at SHOT and will have that video soon. They were super nice people and you can see the passion in what they do.

Are they that much better than the TriggerTech triggers. I run their Rem 700 2 stage Diamond set at 1lb in my Zermatt action RimX and my Bighorn TL3 action in 6mm ARC

You nailed it how to set the sear. I use the TacSport Pro model and the sear is set the same way.

John, I have shakey hands too and find a little extra trigger weight to be helpful. Do you find it easier to manage a two stage trigger? I'm building a BR 22 with 2500X action and am thinking two stage might be best for me.
@FClassJohn15 күн бұрын
@@Jeff-mv4yy I use a heavier trigger now too. I use the Flavio Fare Veloce single stage and they’re adjusted to about 4-5oz and it works great. I’ve never gotten used to a two stage for competition.
@Jeff-mv4yy15 күн бұрын
@ thanks John. I think the bix 2 stage can be adjusted to a single stage ? I know Flavio is cats meow, but very hard to find lately

So is the purpose of adjusting the sear engagement, to control the amount of creep the trigger has? If so, is this why there is no adjustment screw on a TriggerTech trigger, cause of their Frictionless Release Technology that has a little roller in between the seer and the trigger?
@zachboor75419 ай бұрын
No it is to make the break perfect for that action, the way a TT is designed it can not be perfect from action to action because of the lack of adjustability. Bix also has over travel which TT does not. Over-travel is key to shooting process during recoil. if you have a hard wall and your are pulling through you are altering the gun during recoil. Over-travel allows you to have a follow through.

@@zachboor7541 Thanks for taking the time to answer and elaborate on a few things. You'll have to pardon my ignorance, but what specifically do you mean by making the break perfect for each action? Secondly, you're saying if there is a bit of overtravel it allows for a more consistent trigger pull as eliminating that immediate wall makes it so you manipulate the rifle less when pulling the trigger?

Do the make a trigger shoe that isn’t as long for the competition trigger? For some reason it is hitting the trigger guard on my Bat action in a ZR stock. Same thing happened to the Flavio whisper I tried.

There are several different shows available. I would call Bullet Central and give them your dimensions and they can help you find a show that would work.

how does Borden get the firing pin spring to cock so easy? I'm guessing it's around 20 pounds on a pretty short lever, HOW?

Watch the Erik Cortina (Believe the Target) with Mr. BORDEN himself. He explains it.

WOULD YOU USE THESE IN HUNTING RIFLES
@zachboor75419 ай бұрын
No if you are going Bix'n Andy use the Dakota trigger they make perfect for hunting or the Tacpsort trigger they make.
