Just a flight with a 8x4"prop, well balanced and powerful motor. I will test a few different props with this motor Song "Mushroom Paradise" by Felexprod- Dubstep.net Original

I knew I should've ordered this when I got my kit! I wasn't positive if it would work though so now I know. Thanks!

7demo7 do I need to replace the stock ESC to run this motor?
@7demo7review9 жыл бұрын
Yes! Get at least a 30a

7demo7 Got my 1st bix 2 crashed it loads of times as not flown before and lack of (broken) glasses didn't help either so new kit on order got motor mount and thinking of a 5000kv motor for the shear fun of it.. . slowing getting everything together for fpv next will be screen and osd also reinforncing nose so it dont end up like last one .5000Mah lipo in COG area to power everything then see how long ill be able to fly for
@7demo7review9 жыл бұрын
5000mah? I woulden't waste that on a airframe like a bixler,,, you can easily break the wings off on high G manouvers....lol,

There’s a rip off motor made by flash hobby that looks exactly like the old turnigy motors. That orange/gold color with the swirl on the front of the can. What’s the difference? Exactly the same size wattage and KV.

Great video! I'm busy figuring out my setup for a ARF bix 3. Since you made this video have you found any better motor/prop setups? How did you mount the motor (what mount is that)?? Thanks for help. Also any other advice you can give on setup?

Search my videos, I have the smallpartscnc motor adaptor install video. It's a 2836 1500kv motor from hobby King. This combo seems to be the best combo out there! Thanks for watching!

Did you have to remove the plastic insert inside the foam motor mount to fit the aluminium mount tube section all the way into the hole? I was going to cut some length off the aluminium tube and leave the plastic insert in there. Great video btw😎
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
You definitely can leave the stock motor mount in place, I would cut out a passageway for your motor wires to pass through, make it bigger so that it doesn't rub on your new motor wires

+7demo7 Thanks mate, I will do. 👍

Could you fit this motor like the stock motor is in there if you would sand down the hole little?
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
+Micha Kniest I think it would be possible!

Hi your video has put a spanner in my works.I have a bixler 2 which everyone seems to suggest putting a 2200kv motor on it. I think its over kill thinking your set up is better! Do you think this motor is enough with a fpv set up in bix2 ? ITS BEEN IN ITS BOX FOR 2 MONTHS WHILE I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT WHAT THE BEST SET UP IS !!!!!!!Ta
@7demo7review9 жыл бұрын
Yes, 2200 is way to much rpm- you'll burn out your motor - I wouldn't go over 1500kv
@jfpv44209 жыл бұрын
My stock motor burnt up yesterday been flying with a 8x6 on it was thinking about going with the 2200kv I have on my wing until I seen ur vid. How well dose it fly compared to the stock motor and power difference?

How did you plug the two batteries at once
@7demo7review9 жыл бұрын
I solder 3 plugs together to create a parallel plug. Two plugging into the batteries and one plug facing the other way all soldered together with no wires. I'll make a quick video on it soon- they're fun to make! This is with XT60 plugs btw

I just ordered the mount from cnc after looking at your video. gonna be ordering the same motor soon aswell. can you tell me what battery are you using and the flying time youre getting with it.
@7demo7review9 жыл бұрын
+fahad razzak I use x2 2200mah and would get between 30 and 40 min depending on how sporty I flew. Great for a long fpv flight! You could easily buy a 1100 or 1200kv motor if you wanted more run time and efficiency
@fahadrazzak12349 жыл бұрын
+7demo7 i think im gonna stick to your set up :P. gonna place the order soon :D. thank you!

just bought this motor for my FPV bix 3 , has anyone mounted it in the stock position inside of the foam?

slightly too wide, I think...

Hi, can I ask some advice. I recently fitted a pixhawk and FPV gear on a bix3 , the weight balance is a bit nose heavy now but not all that bad , it flew ok when a friend threw it for me with full up trim. However when trying to launch myself with one hand on controls , even when giving full power it just goes down. I couldn't believe it when I saw you launch without even having the motor running... how did you do that throwing into a good wind? Or maybe I got something badly wrong with my setup, I had flaps half down , that's ok? I can't tell AUW at the moment as I haven't check since some changes, but it's fairly standard FPV setup with a 375g multistar battery. I am using stock motor atm, this is why I found this video as I thought I maybe needed more power it solve the problem, yet you launched without power on?
@7demo7review8 жыл бұрын
+farmfunuk make sure your center of gravity is dead on. If I remember it was center of the main spar. I never launch with flaps on. Also never launch with full throttle- bad things happen faster... good luck. Also- this plane can carry a ton o f weight- just double check your cg
@farmfunuk8 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks, Would you have to throw it a lot harder with more weight or isn't it too bad? I thought it would just glide but isn't happening when it's nose heavy!
@farmfunuk7 жыл бұрын
I check CoG again, when I said it was nearly there I was balancing to middle of main spar but apparently on checking the manual again it's supposed to be 2-3 cm back from that, in which case I was way out. Surprised i ever flew it like that, although I am a little worried about over correcting now as it's looking like a big change
@7demo7review7 жыл бұрын
The manual picture is not accurate- go by the mm stated in the manual
@farmfunuk7 жыл бұрын
Got it fairly well balanced now I think, had to use a much smaller battery for now, it still nose dives a bit on takeoff but appears well balanced once in the air at mid throttle. Perhaps I need to learn how to throw better, I previously tried to throw straight level.. you throw it up more but when I tried that it didn't work didn't gain enough speed and dived as if nose heavy like before. Are you using a flight controller? I noticed some of your surfaces moving when you were handling it on the ground.
